So by looking at the pre straight pipe it looked like an aftermarket muffler if so what was it ? I ask because i just put on a thrush turbo and still have the resonator...it sucks... It sounded ok with no muffler after cat idling good rumble put on the thrush and quiet as a church mouse i never checked to see what ot sounded like after yhe thrush negire welding the outlet so not sure if its the resonator or just the thrush is that quiet ...lol ... probably going to either straight pipe , glass pack or do 4inch round magnaflow i just want a deep rumble when idling and a good mild rumble when cruising don't mind it loud if i gave to romp on it which i only do once in awhile sincr i drive it 160 milta day to work
@@beaushow319 who did your straight pipe? How much? I don’t know what to go with... hard to find different exhaust videos for the 5.7 XK. I def don’t want any in cab drone but I want it to sound loud and have lots of that Gurgling sound.
I had it done at a place s&s muffler shop in Denison Texas. Super nice guy owns and operated by him and his wife. He's been working there 40+ years. The place is very neat it a big shop that they build around an old fuel/ service station. I think I paid him $45 to cut the muffler off and weld in the strate pipe. No droning. Ideal nice small revs sounded good high revs were a little to raspy for me. Over all I like it.
