Chryslers are super easy to troubleshoot, The problem can be one of four problems, 1) bad ground, 2) bad power feed, 3) bad TIPM, 4) bad PCM.

Not really, when you turn the rear wiper on, the car shuts off. Not exactly ideal for a customer vehicle.

My question is: how did the owner discover this behavior? Does he go around unplugging components randomly? Of course it is a Chrysler product so maybe that's normal

My first guess was that circuits were grounding out through it. I have been an electronics tech for 25 years. I hang out with a buddy who is still wrenching. Great diagnostics guy. See a lot of doge vehicles at his shop with ground issues. Brutal!!

Information from the customer, how they came across this I'm not sure. The motor was new so maybe replaced when it failed?

I was half right - it was a ground, but not to a module (unless the TIPM is considered a module). Now that was a a strange one, for sure! Nice one, Steve! 👍 Remember the ad in America that went, "Dodge. Different." - Jeep in this case, but ain't that the truth!! 🤣

Wiring diagrams are readily available from Alldata, Hella, Autodata, Haynes Pro, ESI, Idetifix etc sir

Thing is it's a bit like what the person was thinking about when he discovered you could drink milk from a cow! What was he doing to find out the engine stopped by unpluging the rear wiper? Mind you it is Steve Scott... Whats that all about then lol
