Got the dreaded Jeep Gladiator JT and Wrangler JL Rubicon locker sensor fault. Ordered a ZAutomotive OEM locker harness to fix it. Check it out! No connection to Summit or Zautomotive. I used my own money and sharing my own experience. Hope this helps anyone who comes across this issue. Please like and subscribe!

Straight forward and simple to fix. Thank you!

You are welcome. It’s dumb that we have to pay $179 to fix something that Jeep couldn’t get right but it worth it to me to not have the hassle of a dealer and I have 5.13 gears so no way I’m replacing an axle over a bad sensor. Thanks for watching! #JTRSPARTACUS

I came across this video a little to late! I took mine to the dealer and they might be replacing the whole axle even though I clearly said it might just be the sensors . Hopefully it comes back fixed if not I’ll be buying this adapter.

Yeah. The dealer doesn’t have a lot of expertise with axles. This sensor gets dirty and sometimes chaining the fluid and cleaning the sensor will fix. The ZAuto module makes the locker work as intended. Thanks for watching and good luck!! #JTRSPARTACUS

Jeep should buy these things for owners. Their solution is a new axle under warranty - dumb.
@JTRSpartacus
@JTRSpartacus Год назад
Yeah. Seems like this is quite a bit cheaper and easier than replacing an axle. I tend to avoid the dealer unless I absolutely have to go their. I’m ok with buying a fix as long as it works. #JTRSPARTACUS

@@JTRSpartacus They now have a replacement sensor kit from MOPAR. Axle Sensor Kit - Mopar (68544629AA). Because you're not actually fixing sensor but just error light.

Hey Brother, thanks for the great videos. I own 2022 Glady-Mojave 6spd Manual (since Oct 1st) and Every time I depress the clutch between 1st and 2nd and 2nd and 3rd, there is a clunky noose in. The drivetrain. Feels like there is to much slop - also happens when coasting in traffic in 1st and I have to suddenly break - loud clunk. Dealer says its all normal - but man I can believe this is normal. I had the 2020 Glady- Sport S with the 8 speed auto max tow package and it was awesome. But I wanted a manual for a long time and got a great deal on the Mojave - but now Im kinda regretting it. Was Spartacus clunky when you first got it? I have no mods yet on mine so just wondering if the dealer just doesn’t want to deal with it. Under 1400 miles on mine. Thanks, Eddie

I have some clunk/unloading under acceleration/deceleration. If I’m super smooth shifting I don’t get it but that’s hard to do with the JT with its deficit of power and the crappy throttle response from the pedal (considering a pedal commander to see if that will help. ) It’s a lot better now with my Centerforce Dual Friction clutch, hydraulics and heavier flywheel. I love the manual but Jeep screwed it up with a weak clutch and light flywheel. THANKS for watching and please like and subscribe!!!! #Savethestick #JTRSPARTACUS

Thanks for the reply, Yeah my clunk is when I depress the clutch - especially prominent when you are taking off in 1st and suddenly have to break and clutch - its like a double or triple clunk. Very dissatisfied and disappointed in Jeep. As much as I wanted the manuel, I am ready to trade it up for the 8 speed auto. I agree, Jeep blew it with the manuel. Thanks again and God bless

I don't think a sensor in failure mode was corrected by a new m to f wire harness segment. 🤷
@JTRSpartacus
@JTRSpartacus Год назад
It is “corrected” - bypassed. Basically the computer is getting the signal from the harness module (little black box in the harness) that everything is ok and the faulty internal sensor connection is bypassed /blocked on the axle side by the harness. Jeep doesn’t have the sensor as a stand alone and doesn’t have the entire locker with sensor either so their “solution” is to replace the entire axle. Dumb because it will be just a matter f time until it happens again.
@DerrickOil
@DerrickOil Год назад
@@JTRSpartacus I didn't notice the module. Of course to provide validity to your hypothesis, the entire system should be returned to complete stock condition and see if the original Z-Auto modification created a failure mode. The null hypothesis if you will. (Low order of probability of occurrence I hypothesize).
@JTRSpartacus
@JTRSpartacus Год назад
@@DerrickOil ha! That ain’t happening. It worked for me. Not scientific but it works - that’s all I care about. Zautomotive can do that other crap if they want.

@@JTRSpartacus you can order the sensor now....but my dealership said they tried that and were still getting an error so now I'm waiting on a new axle to come in... *sigh* I wonder how much Jeep has spent on warranty repairs for this and what it would have cost to design a better sensor.
@JTRSpartacus
@JTRSpartacus Год назад
@@sturek Zautomotive bypass works great. The locker works fine and it took 2 minutes. Jeep is stupid and thinking about this wrong. Outcomes are the most important thing - they should use auto. Good luck!
