20 Mojave not a manual but my jeep kept losing charge so after about 3 days of jumpstarting it I bought a new battery still has the warning on thinking it might be the alternator 😢
Have you read the code? Does the dash ga😅ge show lower than 13 volts. Also You can take a voltage reading while running Could be a lot of things. Good luck. #JTRSPARTACUS
Wheres the video of the process , like the full video i cant find it :S My AC is off im dying cause of the heat haha, can you please share here the link for the video of what you did once you disconected the negative side of the battery? THANKS!!!!!!!
i love the way you guys do the real world comparison but, i'd like to ask regarding the road you guys are taking. . was it uphill or on level surface? thank you !! more power!
Almost no true level spots where I live in Pennsylvania can’t say for my colleague in Canada. In PA it’s small hills that go up and down and average out. Not scientific but a decent comparison if I do say so, myself. Thanks for watching. #JTRSPARTACUS
I have 1st gear and use it daily. It’s short but unless it’s completely flat or downhill, I use 1st to take off. The difference between 4.88 and 5.13 is about 5%. I’d rather have the extra 5% lower gears in the mountains or when towing. Thanks for watching. #JTRSPARTACUS
Hi, thanks for posting. I'm curious, because I also have a 6 speed Gladiator, how your mileage was affected. Every 'MPG' test for 37s video I see is only for the automatic...
It’s not great. 5th and 6th basically become unusable if you live where there are any hills. My MPGs went down about 3mpg to 12-13. I ended up regearing to 5.13 gears and it’s much better. MPGs are 13-14, so not a huge improvement but the power and drivability is much better. Good luck! #JTRSPARTACUS
Amazing work! Wow! We're looking to retire our 2008 JKUR (205K miles) and find a 2022/2023 Gladiator this year. Been looking at slides, dreaming of this next build. So happy that I found your channel and this slide design! I'll be definitely reaching out to you once we have the "new" JT! Keep up the great work!
Experiencing same issues on my JTR-MT after regear to 5.13. Had same issue before after putting 37's on and dealer fixed it then (i believe with this solution) but they didn't mention this when i called them on the road after regear. Instruction pdf is beyond my tech expertise but i tried to follow instructions on your channel. Didn't work for me, couple ideas why: (1) I disconnected the negative terminal clamp and both black wires connected to it--however i did not disconnect those black wires from each other as the connections were very tight and i didn't want to damage wires--perhaps i could with better tools (i seem to recall you mentioning need to disconnect wires from each other--does that have something to do with disconnecting both batteries?? pdf mentions need to disconnect both and i have no idea how to disconnect auxiliary battery. I tapped brake pedal a little like you suggested but wasn't sure how long i had to do that for. (2) My DTC P08A6 problems appear at irregular, unpredictable intervals from start and this particular time, as i left on my way to highway for "6th gear learnin'" it happened almost immediately as i left my driveway. In any event, if i disconnect battery at home it is unlikely i would make it to highway before problem appears. Is it necessary to do the 6th gear learning prior to error appearing? Not sure that is possible.
You definitely need to disconnect the auxiliary battery - all of the cables. If you have power to anything, the relearn procedure won’t work. You may need to get creative about how /where you disconnect and reconnect - close to a highway. It’s a pain but it’ll work. Good luck ! #JTRSPARTACUS
Sorry to hear…No it didn’t fail. It was just lightweight junk. I didn’t want the recall because it was lightweight junk. The Centerforce clutch is a game changer. Also… the factory clutch is only under warranty for 12,000 miles. That shows how good they think it is. Good luck!! #JTRSPARTACUS
I came across this video a little to late! I took mine to the dealer and they might be replacing the whole axle even though I clearly said it might just be the sensors . Hopefully it comes back fixed if not I’ll be buying this adapter.
Yeah. The dealer doesn’t have a lot of expertise with axles. This sensor gets dirty and sometimes chaining the fluid and cleaning the sensor will fix. The ZAuto module makes the locker work as intended. Thanks for watching and good luck!! #JTRSPARTACUS
For the love of god, use eye protection, at least with the circle saw or whatever the name is in English. My dear friend lost an eye with the tool breaking like a shrapnel...
Thanks for this vid. Got a JL Sport with 6MT. Doing research on gearing bc I would like to upsize tires in near future. Nothing crazy. Def 33 MAYBE 35. Got the stock All Terrain Wranglers. Haven't had a chance to take her off road yet. Will see how she does. Who knows, I might keep it bone 🦴 stock after all is considered!!! Def gonna put an exhaust tho 😇
So the shop installing my Centerforce claims the new master slave and hydraulics are leaking. Could've been a defect, or they damaged it on install. Either way, is it possible to use the stock master slave and hydraulics with the organic 2 on a 2020 JT until the replacement is in?
Yes. I had my CF clutch installed and ran it in stock hydraulics for a while - before the aftermarket hydraulics came out. Zero issues. I noticed after new hydraulics, that the stock stuff was a bit soggy compared. Good luck. #JTRSPARTACUS
Great video ! Thanks fellas !! Honestly being a former machinist it's really about what I'd expect , 488 & 513 are really similar and shouldn't have a huge huge difference between the two. Now if we're talking 438 to 538 I'd expect to see a bigger more noticeable difference.... I am curious to see the MPG difference between the two? Actual calculations not digital dash readings lol
Thanks for watching. I’d guess mileage differences would be negligible. Lots of factors with the driving style, traffic, terrain, and vehicle weight being big ones. I did a trip to Yellowstone and back from PA and calculated 15.6 mpg - dash showed 16. I get about 13.6 driving around home in hilly PA in short trips and usually lugging stuff. #JTRSPARTACUS
Not that I know of. It’s probably possible but doesn’t seem like it’s as east as the up and down. Please share if you find out. Thanks for watching. #JTRSPARTACUS
@@JTRSpartacus yeah, I know. It will have to wait until next month anyway... Had another big house bill get in my way for this paycheck. And I still gotta finish my WJ engine rebuild.
Nice video, thank you! It looks like it would catch air like a parachute back there, have you encountered a certain speed where it starts to do that? I'd be inclined to bundle it up with some velcro straps or something if I was heading on the highway.
The replacement I bought barely moves. Not a big fan of heim joints for track bars. They flex a little more but you pay for it with weakness, need for maintenance and excessive movement on the road
I did the Centerforce clutch because the factory clutch was woefully inadequate and I didn’t believe (and still don’t) that Jeep would make it right. This replaces all the faulty components with hood parts so zero worries. Thanks for watching! #JTRSPARTACUS
Yup. I used some extra Velcro on the weatherstripping ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kDQuI83Jfbg.htmlsi=kPOtrrfiECRDr7Fb #JTRSPARTACUS
Thanks man, this helped. Changed the tires before and just did full reboots of the system, a couple sleep cycles, and the relearn process of 60 in 6th and never had an issue. This time I could not get rid of that darn light without disconnecting the battery.
You’ll need to get a Tazer or other programmer or have a dealer reflash to correct the Speedo. There is also a relearn procedure - basically drive 20 seconds in 6th while accelerating - I have another video on my channel of this . I have a Tazer mini programmer. Good luck! #JTRSPARTACUS
Relearn for manual trans is here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Af0Qhi7wSBs.htmlsi=pwZwAAan-Uvbz5Ce if auto trans - there may be something different.
Damn I wished this was an 8 speed auto comparison. I am at around 2400 Rpm going 75 on seventh gear on 4.10s on 38s. I might get my 8th gear back with 4.88s, 5.13s might be too much.
How is your takeoff with the 5.13s, I have a 2023 Willys Sport, and the take off is horrible, stalls easier than a mid 90s ford escort, reverse up hill or out of a hole is nearly impossible without side stepping the clutch, and i really have to feather the fuel in 1st to get going
Take off is much better with 5.13 gears and 37s. It’s not fast but it is responsive. If it’s flat I can take off in 2nd gear ⚙️. Thanks for watching. #JTRSPARTACUS
Thanks for the video! I lifted the front of my 2022 Gladiator Rubicon by 1.5" (its now level) and needed to know which way to turn the little screw to lower the lights. Counter clockwise is it. I too hope that other oncoming drivers will be happy now! You can also use a 6mm allen socket with a long extension to fit into the hex.
