17 JGC trail hawk trans issues with jolts when shifting at gears 1/2/3. Live in Silver Spring MD and Took it to local dealer in October. They agreed is a power train issue at 35k miles. I’m pretty close to pass the warranty powertrain mark at 5yr/36k miles. They gave my car back after 2 weeks stating they replaced a gasket. And still get jolts especially at higher gears now 4/5/6. Also noticed a leak under the car after it being parked assuming trans fluid because of the location of the leak. Took it back, they reopened the issue and it’s been 3 weeks with no update. Called yesterday they said they are still waiting for a valve body part. Right now I am concerned it getting across the warranty line and something major happening… fingers crossed one of two things happen. Value body replacement and no issues. Value body replacement and issues continue past the warranty and the dealer accepts faulty prior warranty deadline and they fix it for free 😐
I have a 2014 grand Cherokee making a clicking noise coming from the transfer case motor but doesn’t codes for transfer case nor 4x4 light is not on. Replaced the tccm also too. Would it only be the transfer case motor or the whole transfer case needs to be replaced?
Hey I have a 2006 Jeep Commander 5.7L Hemi and I have a clicking noise happening only when turning left and right not so much when driving straight…no codes for transfer case but I do have esp bas light, service 4x4 light and traction control light on. My mechanic thinks it is my suspension. Any ideas if it is the transfer case? He said the lights are on because of suspension needs replacement

Hey i have a 2015 JGC limited 4x4 and a coulpe months back the traction light on dashed turned on saying service four wheel drive system and after that i will hear a noise under the car as soon as i turned it on so when i got it check they said it was the transfer control module under the seat so i replaced that the noise did go away but the service 4wd light has not and some time when i turn my wheel all around and im either trying to back up or move forward in a close area it jerks one time like i feel it from the front like if the front dereffential is trying to engage do you do think buy changeing just the transfer motor it will solve my issue? Thanks in advance
My '14 Summit 98K miles is doing the same thing. I could be going down the highway or sitting at a stop sign and the message will appear on the dash, icon will come on. Drives fine but then Growling in reverse. Been going through this for about 5 months now. I've gotten the transfer case, module,drive shaft, wires and sensor replaced. I'll take it the dealership, they'll tinker with it. No stored codes, I'll get it back and like clock work 5 weeks later, it happens again. It's in the shop as I'm writing this
The transfer case is not too difficult to do, it's taking off the shaft that's the problem. They tend to not want to come off. Wd40 or PB blaster will be your friend in this process.
I have a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee making noise when I shift gears and hit break sometimes. How do I know if it’s the transfer case or just the actuator ?
That took me a long time to get the shaft off the Tranfer case. I spray wd40, and I softly hammer it out. Careful not to cause too much damage to the shaft.
Hello, I have a 2014 Grand Cherokee when accelerating, it clicks but only once, then some gears click and the click is heard again and everything is fine, I think this happened because it has 3 new tires of a brand and the 4th tire is from different make, different tread and not new. I still don't get any 4x4 warning lights on the dashboard, will changing the different tire solve my problem?
@@didisway3341 yes it is what I think tomorrow I will go to have the new tire that is missing and I hope the problem is solved because I still do not get any fault code from the 4x4 it is more they already checked the truck in countless workshops and in the jeep agency and they tell me that they don't know what it has, now that they investigate youtube and google I already knew where to start. Sorry was meant to read like did you just put the ignition to reds/accessories for the clicking I’ve got a 2015 grand Cherokee overland which gave me the service four wheel drive system when I was driving down a freeway doing about 100km before this happened the car felt weird when I would stop go, between 1 2 3 it’s would feel jerky or like something was slipping mind you the service warning went away after turning the car off and hasn’t come back on but the symptoms described above are still happening ,4x4 low/rock doesn’t work also the transfer case neutral button doesn’t work either also when I put my car to accessories I do hear the clicking The only code that comes up is u0403-00
@@jasonmangila it seems like you having the same problem I had. Get someone to turn the key on for you, while you under the car to listen and see it the noise is coming from the transfer case. And put your hand on the computer part of the transfer case, to see if you are feeling any clicking inside.
