Man you are my hero, my head was hurting and my wallet empty trying to fix my 1998 laredo, my hats off to you,i did not think i would ever get it running right, but you were the missing piece of the puzzle, thank you
I have 1996 grand Cherokee Laredo. Same issues. Cutting out while driving. Back fires. No crank randomly. Changed crank position sensor out with an OEM one from jeep dealership 120$. Then Took computer box out. Bent all tabs loose. Seperated. Resoldered every connection from the board to the plug connections. Fixed 100% running 2 years since no problems.
I have a 96 Cherokee Country 120K several parts made a difference. I replaced the radiator, Crank sensor, Radiator cap, fuel pump and filter sock, Fuel filter!! Cap and rooter wires and plugs it's a Beast now!!!
Hey man my 1997 jeep grand Cherokee is a no crank no start I have new battery starter alternator what could be the problem also I changed out the computer as well
Great video man.. I'm going threw the same thing right now. I got the computer out an im gonna open it up an see what can be done to fix it. How did it work out for you? Is Still stalling out?
My 99 xj would crank no start nor dash lights.. cleaned the grounds.. and got s crank.. but now I don't hear the buzz from the fuel pump.. I believe that's the culprit
I have a 1993 jeep grand Cherokee Laredo V8. As long as I keep my foot on the gas it will stay running. Soon as I take my foot off the gas it turns off. Any idea what the problem could be? My search on youtube has lead me to believe it is my PCM. Would hate to replace that and the problem could be something simple or something else.
Mine will do this when the wiring in my battery terminals get too loose. Try re adjusting the coper wiring and make sure the terminals fit tightly around the wiring (if you haven't already 😏...). Sometimes the wiring gets rusty too.
Ok I have a 96 Cherokee and I see this part your holding. But what is it called and where does it go. My jeep seems to overheat and when I park it won't start for like 15 minute or until it cools down. Then I can start it and drive. So your saying that part may help me to replace what is it called so I can get one..
@@00tonytone I just watched South Main Auto repair LLC's video because my jeep does what yours is doing. Anyways he fixed a guys jeep with a new Crank Sensor! It's a bitch to get to, but it might work! Good luck! I'm going to keep searching.
1st thing I would do is remove the old fuel because Water Don't belong with fuel! Second Get the right PCM and ICV then put fresh fuel into the Vehicle and fire it up! If you are not sure what the hell is going on with your vehicles Find someone who dose know how to diagnose the problem and save yourself the head ache and wasteful money spending! I have to swallow my pride at times and ask for help! I get it sometimes we think we know the problem and instead of fixing it shit gets worse! Good luck to those of you who are looking for an EASY QUICK CHEAP FIX ! Because it's not always fun and remember you get what ya pay for!
Just as an update, I had a similar problem. I pulled the computer and everything looked fine. Chased some wires and found a bad connection in the plug beneath the inside fuse box. The problem was that the computer was not receiving secondary ignition power because of a loose wire. Damn things can be tricky. Thanks again for the video. Helped get me on track.
