Hi love the Jeep and all you've done to it. Question, we're currently running a 3.5" JKS lift and now thinking of going with 4.5" on our JLU. Did you need to make any modifications to your front or rear driveshafts? And did you have to adjust the gas tank so no rubbing would occur?
@ diesel pros,, any opinions regarding the Borla vs Flowmaster,, or Pypes,, RIPP ?? any other high clearance cat backs ?? Is the round muffler better than the oval style ??
Hi Philip, I wish I had more info on the other exhaust systems for you! The only other exhaust I'd recommend for a little more 'tame' sound is the Magnaflow system. They tend to use an oval muffler in their systems and also tend to keep the raspiness in check. This exhaust is LOUD and on longer hwy drives might make some folks uncomfortable with the noice level.
@@DieselPros haha very cool. I’d be perfectly fine with a 5.7 hemi. Everyone goes over the top with big engines in these things and they don’t need em. I just want the sound not the power.
@@DieselPros I’ve got other projects in the way before we get there... trying to modernize my 87 xj first. I’d love to put a pentastar v6 or even the 2.0t out of a JL in it just for some reliability and power. Of course it would make sense to take the v6 from my JLU, put it in the xj, and replace the v6 with the 5.7, but I gotta drive something around in the meantime. Can’t have 2 Jeeps down!
@@camaroboi13 keep an eye out for the 3.6 conversions in the near future. Some folks in Indiana are close to completing their JL 3.6/8 speed auto swaps for the TJ platform. Should be an easy transition into the XJ platform too 👍
@@DieselPros yeah...so I got the right one. Unfortunately had to pay a little more to ship to APO, currently serving in Germany. It's going to sound pretty sweet. I also ordered K&N intake. guess it will be worth it. Thanks again for the video. Stay safe brotha. ✌🏻
