Damn ...I am sure glad I ordered my 2023 Rubicon 392 Extreme Recon in July, I'm at week 7 so hopefully not to much longer on waiting. Thanks for the info as always 👍👍
Damn. I should have ordered that instead of the loaded diesel 😔 might have to find a used one now. The recon package was very worthwhile compared to aftermarket-ing all those parts.
@K G I've had 392 and loaded diesel. IMHO the diesel is much better choice. More practical and better off road. Def is a pain but there are deletes out there.
Thanks for the great info. I'm on week 3 of owning my Sarge Green Willys XR. I have yet to see another Willys XR at a dealer or around town here in Central Coast CA. Guess I have a rare build.
As of now, u cant get xr recon on any platform, but have heard that u can starting in October, which tomarrow is October 1 & start building them in December
My dad finally decided to buy a gladiator rubicon because he saw one in Gobi on a lot and I had to explain to him how fast it was going to sell. Once he realized that he would not be able to find another for at least a couple years, he snagged it up and couldn't be happier.
Matt, do you see the xtreme recon ever coming to the gladiator in the next couple years?! I am disappointed they only gave it a green light on the wrangler.
You can order an xtreme recon for 2023 model. I have an order on place...(got it in last month) what I couldn't get on that order was corning gorilla glass.
Why pull off the extreme recon package only to put it back after a couple of months? Is it due to the high demands or Jeep isn't capable to keep up with the demand which I don't think would be overwhelmed.
Just ordered a new 392 about a week ago and yes the XR package you cannot get but realistically for the cost of that package I think most jeep guys would get rid of those wheels put on a better tire carrier and taller lift kit other than the gearing which you can do at any rear end shop I don’t think the XR package is really worth it, unless you’re going to leave it as is but it is too bad they got rid of it whether it’s temporary or not, I think it’s probably a parts thing or not enough demand for the XR package I am just happy that I’m able to order a 392 my dream jeep thanks for the video
Thanks for the info. I know it’s not your fault, definitely gotta put that one back on Jeep. However, I’ve taken you advice to heart and trying to order the Jeep I’d like with the specific list of options. However, Jeep drops and adds options so quickly and it would seem extremely Willy Nilly, that I can’t get the list of options on the same order at any one time. It’s getting super frustrating, I’d like to order a Jeep but the list of options I’d like just aren’t available. 😤
As of my order last year I got a VIN within the week or so. Make sure to bug your dealer. However, build date is a different story. It took a while to get but it meant nothing - way off. Order to delivery for me was 5 months.
I would assume you should have your jeep before the end of this year a lot of people ordered around that time and I think it’s when they were switching from 2022 models to 2023 models and has caused a bit of delay, I just ordered mine a week ago so I don’t know how long it’s going to take but I think you should be getting yours fairly soon
Hello Matt, I hope all is well with you. I know it's getting close, but Can you please keep me posted when you ship my 392? I appreciate any help you can provide.
So, are they dropping the XR because they are coming out with the 20th Anniversary Rubi? And dropping the Purple in favor of the gold for the 20A Rubi?
It’s too bad that Jeep never made the Xtreme Recon pack available on the 2 door. Major L, considering you can get the Sasquatch Package on a 2 door Bronco.
I had my hesitation but my 392XR suspension (Rubicon shocks not Fox) surprisingly impressed me. Keep in mind the Fox are barebones-baseline. Either way if you plan on doing serious off-road or crawling you’ll want to upgrade either way.
@@JeepYotaAdventure I'm not going to be hitting anything hardcore with the ~90k rig, the mild-moderate stuff has been fine. That being said, I was really impressed by Fox on my Gen 2 Raptor. To make it worth the investment, I would lean toward the Fox 2.5. But I don't have personal experience with the others.
They just released the 'Recon' vehicle, so I assume it's to dissuade any confusion and potentially to rename for a bigger tire package. I don't care what they call it but I do want the package. Can't let Ford trump them on the offroading front.
