No way would I consider a Recon. I'll keep my Wrangler XR; thank you! Living in Texas, you must go 200 miles just to get where you want. You can't get home after you "play" for a while! If you'd just be using the Recon as a daily driver, it's overkill. Another great video, Matt!
I would not give up my Wrangler for a Recon…. I think they should keep the Wrangler as a fuel with electric assist option. Hope they do not ruin the future Wrangler…. Great video
Love my XR Willys. I'm keeping it. Does anyone know a height difference between a JL XR with 35s and a JL with a 2 inch Mopar lift with 35s. From the highest point of my roof line my XR stands about 76 inches. Thanks
Aloha Matt. The new Recon still retains the original concept and tradition of the Wrangler as far as "fun" and "tradition" goes. Plus, this is a nice touch to providing more options and choices. Nice video 📼 Matt.🤜🤛😄🤙🙌🏡🤓💰😇🤠😎👍⛅🎓📼🔍🔅🌟👐🤲👀🐶🐕💪
Jeep said during the announcement that the vehicles would be built on the STLA Large platform which means they'll be body-on-ev-skateboard-frame. Given what we know about the STLA Large platform that means dual motor (one front, one rear), independent suspension both front and rear, and more than 100kWh battery pack. It also means it will probably have 300+ miles of range as that's the low-end for the STLA Large platform.
I mean the recon looks cool, it's got that Ford Bronco vibe, but there is no way on this earth I'm giving up my Wrangler Rubicon for a recon, ever. Personally I'd be worried that it's just a unibody construction which sounds good on paper but all it's going to take is one rock on the wrong place on a trail and you get skidded out of the woods and totalling the vehicle. Some of the features like removable hard top windows are something I wished the Wrangler had today.
Matt, I have left several voice messages on your phone number and haven't received a reply. I would like to place an order for a 2023 Rubicon. Thank you. Hope to hear from you soon.
unfortunately, the grid is not up to the desires to go all electric. California has requested that owners reduce the recharges just shortly announcing that they are going to outlaw new gas powered autos by 2035. ... Pass for me. there are alternatives coming that can take CO2 out of the atmosphere combined with Hydrogen that can be used in current gas powered autos with 0 emmissions. That would be a far better way to go.
No way would I ever consider a Battery powered toy, my first thoughts of it was it looks like a cross between an electric Hummer and Ford bronco 🤷🤷🤷WTH. These oversized toys may be great for this brainwashed generation multiplying now, but I will keep burning fossil fuels while I'm here, and eating beef 🍖 👍👍👍
