Thank you very much for watching!!!... Usually the problem with the plug under the seat is just because it became loose and all you have to do is replug it. There is nothing else you can do to that plug to my understanding. of course you can check for power in the plug but that would be a SUPER rare case. What I have noticed is --> loose plug or bad clock spring, nothing else. Hope this helps!!!
is the sterring wheel suppose, not to be push all the way?.mine is push all far i can push it,but i have a inch of play on the sterring wheel?. do i need to push it harder?
awesomeeee you have an excellent eye for details!!! that's the traction control. If not connected you will have that light on (((yellow light car with the ss like on the wheels))), so I will for sure recommend you get the part that has it. In my case it was to late and I could not change it for the correct one so I end up using the one on the video. I dont mind not having that connected but I will recommend you have it!!!
if your horn stopped working i will first check the cables are connected to the horn and that they have power when you try honking, check fuse as well, also I will bypass and try to honk directly from the battery just to make sure the horn is good. if everything checks good then I will replace the clock spring.... hope this help!
I have one question. Is it possible to find out which clocspring is suitable for my Compass 2008 2.0 diesel, since I found that some clocspring have 6 pins and some other have it more and both are for compass mk2008?
I grabbed my four way GM cap and a Chilton's guid book holding the four way toward the hood screaming at the top of my lungs "THE POWER OF CHRYSLER COMPELLS YOU!!!!" Didn't work though.
What is the parts #? Did you go with original part or an aftermarket? The Ebay link does not seem to work anymore. Also, my Pat is a 4x4 with ESC, is that a different item?
Hi, I just bought an unbranded part from ebay, I will fix the link. Here is the name/number clockspring 525-127. advance aa and autozone has it for around $428. If u buy from ebay(around$75) just make sure of compatibility with ur specific patriot. there are many variations. best luck!
Did this and now the ECS light went on and not going off. The new one didn’t have the space for the cable that someone else pointed out so went back to the old clock spring and is not connected but the same light of ECS is on still. Any suggestions?
hi! if you went back to the old clock make sure everything is connected and that light should go away, you can try disconnecting the positive terminal from the battery to clear the memory.
I'm in the process of changing the clock spring on my 2.4 Pat 4x4 and has heard what you describe as a common thing, the ESC going on? Did you locate why? Are there different clock springs that accommodate ESC/ESP and not?
yes! when recording I didn't put attention to that esencial detail!! But I was having the air bag light on, thats the only reason a replaced that part. Thanks for the feedback.
