A premium price requires a premium vehicle, not Stellantis

There is no demand for EV trucks outside of the tech bro demographic. Based on recent layoffs in tech, that demographic is dwindling. Seriously, though…WTF is this guy doing saying that EV demand is blunting ICE sales? That’s just dumb.

I remember growing up dodge used to be a car brand for the average consumer… nobody wants an 70K - 90K dodge. If people want to spend that much money they will be shopping at BMW/MB and not at dodge 🤦‍♂️

I have to disagree about the demand for electric cars, for example, Ford can't GIVE the Mach E away, many EV models are being scaled back in production, and even Tesla sales aren't great. High prices and low quality are doing Stellantis in.

I have ZERO interest in any EV...don't even want a hybrid. Am fine with my 2021 Jeep Gladiator (Rubi) with it's Pentastar N-A V6 gas engine. Might be getting a golf-car in the future, but again, nothing electric, it'll also have an ICE.

No one wants EVs, High prices for vehicles, high insurance, higher maintenance cost, higher prices of other goods and homes, unstable work environments (laid off 5 times because I was last hired)

Become master of your own domain, do not rely on a pay check from someone else. Take control and start your own business. Think of it this way. You have risk working for someone else b/c you’ve been laid off 5 times. Take the risk by the horns and learn to manage it and control it under your terms. The hardest part of a long journey is the first step.

Greed Asking more money on slow selling car is crazy
@JenniLudes
@JenniLudes 11 дней назад
The reason is simple...greed. Car makers think they can continue producing high margin vehicles and overpricing them even further. The winner will be whomever finally decides to start producing more moderate and lower priced vehicles (without quality going to crap) in quantity.

I call Bs. There is no stiff competition with gas trucks and ev trucks. None. Everyone that bought a ev truck regrets it. And there ain't that many on road. Maybe in that shithole California. That's it. Trucks r sitting because they cost 80k and 90k.

@darlaburnett8666

I can tell you why these vehicles aren’t moving off the lot! You’ve got them jacked up so high the people really can’t afford them, and the fact that you’re selling a product that you know has issues and you do not and cannot get the parts to repair it! Prime example I have a coworker that bought a Jeep grand Cherokee brand new 2023 model and in the first year it spent six months in the shop because it would not start, nor would it drive her anywhere and they couldn’t get the parts, but yet she was making payments on it! Example have a boss that just received his brand new Hummer EV in May about a week prior to us having a really bad hailstorm, yes it was damaged in the storm. One of his glass ceiling or roof windows was busted not completely out just shattered, but yet they can’t replace it because they can’t get the part! I know for a fact, he paid cash for his car so he can afford to go to probably some custom glass shop and possibly have him a new glass replacement made for his new Hummer EV that was less than a week old but shame on the dealership! Why are we buying and selling vehicles that you cannot get parts for? That you can’t repair? You don’t really know what the issues are except that there are issues? As for Jeep/ram/Dodge dealership in my hometown, it is the worst dealership in our town if you want to get screwed over, go buy from them because those folks over there are worthless by the way manufacturer. These are the type of people that are selling your product hence the reason why there are so many of them still sitting on the yards .

When you're not selling much product, just raise the price. Definitely a brilliant strategy and sure to cause the overpriced, questionable quality product to fly off the lots.

Most articles and videos that discuss CJDR vehicles mention quality and reliability as concerns. Prices are ridiculous too. Competition offers many better choices. Stellantis needs to face these realities and start giving great deals and offering more appealing vehicles. Otherwise, see ya!

I just bought a Chyrsler 300. I had one 12 years ago and the new one is almost identicle to the old one. Why would they think they offer the same thing for that long and not lose market share? I don't want EV, I don't want a small 4 cyl turbo. I don't want their high prices. So, this will probably be my last Chrysler product.

That's laughable saying people want electric over gas. If this were true there wouldn't be so many government sponsored "rebates" to incentivise consumers to buy one. The hybrid Jeep 4Xe is such a flop there are still dealers sitting on 2023 models with 14K dealer/manufacturer incentives slashing prices AND they still aren't moving!

100,000 vehicles is a normal supply for the manufacturer. Considering they sell close to 200,000 vehicles a month and there are over 3,000 dealers... that is only a few dozen per dealer. What is shocking?

I like to think that every EV is one less gas car being sold , so every Ford Lightning, Rivian RT1 , Tesla Cybertruck, And Chevy E Silverado on the street is one less F-150, Silverado, or Ram pickup being sold , I see them.

OK, you can talk about people wanting to demand of EV models! I don’t really believe that that’s the case! I think those people of wealth that can afford the EV vehicles and the maintenance and upkeep of their batteries, are the only people driving this scenario! Yes, I have two bosses that have two EV vehicles actually one of them has already sold his first one and they went back to a gas or diesel vehicle because They couldn’t drive over 300 to 350 miles and then they had to find someplace to charge the vehicle so they could get to their destination and right now in the state of Texas and it’s a really long ways across the state of Texas just to get out of it, especially when you live dead center in the middle of it Charging stations to see more of them, but they’re still for you in between! And I have a hard time understanding the state of Texas has problems with their electricity and not being able to provide electricity for our homes to stay cold or hot because of our grid and they can’t sell the high cost of solar panels to everybody How does charging an electric vehicle help us anything when it’s on that same grid? I think if they want to sell vehicles get off the full EV mode and go back to the hybrid mode. Quit trying to shove something down our throats that the automotive industry has proven so far that EV, Gas and Diesel oh have production problems! And then until you resolve that people don’t want to buy vehicles that are going to sit in the dealerships, parking lot or garage until they can get fixed, but still make car payments and then find other alternatives to get around and until you can get them taken care of. I don’t see how it is the consumers problem that dealerships might be going out of business because they jacked up the prices! Why don’t you come back down into reality like the rest of us have had to come and realize that that boat has sailed, and you need to get off of it, and get back on the shoreline with the rest of us! We want reasonably priced vehicles that are reliable, and that you will be able to handle repairing and fixing when issues arise until then I don’t see your dilemma getting any better!
