Jeep Wrangler JKU PowerStop Brake Install How To Plus Rugged Ridge XHD Wheels

Jason, my name is Ryan located on the other side of the country in Michigan. I think I've watched all of your videos and love that your super particular about "all the details!" Reminds me of myself. Sweet upgrades to your Rubicon. I have a 2014 JKU looking to put 35's on in the summer. Happy tweaking.

Pro Tip! And I know this is an old video. When you are going brakes, always start from the most farthest pads. In this case when doing all of them. Start at the right rear, then left rear, right front, then last the driver front. Also the slide pins should be removed from the caliper bracket and cleaned. Rubber boots inspected and cleaned. Then pins greased and installed back in bracket. These pins need to be clean and greased for even brake pad wear. But don’t use too much grease! Just a light coat with a brush, and don’t put any grease on the very end of pins (the end that goes in first). If so the pins can’t move all the way in limiting their movement. And always torque every bolt to factory specs. Hope this helps anyone who reads this.

Bought this kit because of this video.. I had a challenge getting the stainless inserts seated correctly, but other than that, it was pretty simple.

Great DIY brake how-to. Had good experience with PowerStop rotors and your 37" JK needed them.

I've done the break in but I now have a spongy petal. I did not open the break lines but I have bled the lines to triple Check. I literally have tried everything. Any suggestions?

So glad I found these vids! I've had a stock 2013 JKU Sahara for a little over a year now, and I've been looking into upgrades. Your vids are proving to be extremely valuable to me, both because I want a similar look to yours before the suspension upgrades (it's a mostly a city dweller but I do live just an hour away from the Rockies in Alberta, so I have the chance to do some pretty good wheelin) and I'm very much a do-it-yourselfer. Jason, love the Jeep videos. After watching this decided to jump in and start doing upgrades to my 2016 Backcountry JKU. Had a shop re-gear and add a 3.5" lift and 35" tires to my jeep. But with your lead I have added the Z36 Power Stop brakes and Flowmaster American Thunder cat back exhaust myself. The brakes have been a great upgrade and I now have better stopping power then when the jeep was stock with 31" tires. With the exhaust the jeep now sounds as good as it looks and having the chance to do the work myself has really made the Jeep truly mine. Live on the east coast and offload parks are closed here for the quarantine but can't wait to get back on the trails and enjoy the all the upgrades. Keep up the great work. Maybe one day I will see you on the trails on the west coast.
