This RU-vid tutorial will help you understand how to upgrade your OEM Jeep Wrangler JL headlights to an aftermarket set or upgrade to OEM led headlights. This method applies to all JL headlight upgrades.
Disclaimer: If your Jeep wrangler is a 2018-2019 you WILL need to upgrade to a 5 pin headlight wiring harness for the Halo to function properly. If you are changing to an aftermarket option this will most likely not be required.

Dude, not only these work better, they also look 10 times cooler. I hate the stock non LED. They looks awful. Just got mine today. Can't wait to install them. By the way amazing channel. I see you just started. Very good video. No BS like most channels today. Keep doing the great work. Love and respect from the Mother Russia. We only have like 100 new (JL's & JT's) jeeps here in Russia. So to have have a Jeep here, is super super col. Very are vehicle :). Good luck to you with your channel. Keep posting them videos.

So u swaped a halogen set for oem leds and didn't have to do any extra writing for the halo? Just reprogramming?

Did you have to program them to work? I was under the impression that it's needed.

Hi, this has been so far the best explained video I've come across on this topic. I do have a question: I just bought a brand new 2022 Wrangler JL, in that case I don't need to buy any additional harnesses or do extra wiring, etc (just like in your video), right? Also, do you happen to have the part code for the set you purchased? There seem to be many different OEM ones around! Thank you so much!

Yes that is correct you do not need to buy any additional wiring. Part number is 82215136AE you will need to reach out to a dealer due to all other websites have been on back order for over a year. I encourage you to check Facebook marketplace or eBay before buying from a dealer.

You will need a Tazor JL mini to activate the halo.

@@mcclainsgarage3917 for jeeps 2021 and up dont need extra wiring for the halo, for 2019 and 2020 you do need to add a wire for the halos.

I have a question …. Where i can find the option to tun on the halo …. I change the headlight halogen to led OEM and the halo is off

He shows it in the video. You need to have a Tazer Mini. It's a $300 device.

@@EddiTaru I wonder if you can just buy the Tazer Mini, activate the halos and then return the Tazer Mini? Do you know if thats possible?

@@christiandeee6058 Yes. That's possible. But It's best to keep the Tazer mini while you have your jeep. Because there are so many different things you can do with it. I'd just buy it. It's worth the money.

Thank you for the concise and informative video! I bought these same Mopar LED takeoffs for my father-in-law's 2018 JL. He doesn't care about the halo, so I'm guessing it should just be a plug-and-play install. Did you need to use a Tazer for the basic headlights (low and high beams) to function correctly with no flicker?

No not unless they are turned on using a tazor jl mini.

My grille broke just by me watching this video. I guarantee if I did something like that I'd end up destroying my entire vehicle. With that being said, I'd love to have the Halo LED lights installed because the halogen are garbage. It's honestly my biggest gripe about the Wrangler.

What year is your wrangler? I've seen some additional wiring to enable the halo.

It’s a 2021. I believe they switched to the same harness for all models in 2020. You can always count the wires or look in the front of the harness you have to confirm. I believe if you have the halo wire it’s 5 and if not it’s 4.

@@mcclainsgarage3917 HALO is 4 wires going into the headlight connector. Halogen is 3 wires. That’s for the older models though, as mentioned, the new models received the same harness.
