The ironic thing is that Sheryl Crow song they use is actually a stab at people who think they are unique. A line goes “you’re an original baby. Turn around and you will see a 100 more”.
This was 20 years ago. She’s probably in her 50s now (a couple of kids and maybe even a grandmother by now). However, I need a girl like her. Actually come to think of it, she probably ain’t much older then me….
The commercial acts like owning a wrangler is a unique thing and that it means you are adventurous. In reality everybody and their mother owns one (especially nowadays with the 4-door version). And they are just used as regular commuter cars. And the current chances of the opposite sex being attracted to you because you drive a wrangler is next nothing. I see 5-10 everyday on the way to work and it’s only a 15 minute drive.
Nope. GPS has been available to the public since the 80s. And a navigation unit was an option on higher end cars by the early 90s. Stand alone GPS units (like garmin and TomTom) have been around since the mid 90s. So it’s possible he had one. Otherwise it would be very unlikely and rather difficult for him to have found the location she wrote down easily. I had a stand alone GPS in 2002.
