Hey, nice vid! Is that a LX car engine crate motor? Can you share a BOM with the AC Compressor and Alternator part numbers and any bolts you needed to grab with those? Also the belt part # if you don't mind... Thanks! My Build will be featured on JKU 392 Adventures channel :)
Great Jeep!!! . I just blew a head gasket so instead if fixing just going to do the swap. I have the Nag 1 in my 17 Rubicon recon. 8speed that much better ?? Thanks.
cost is the main factor. other factor includes 5.7 swap is more mature, less of overheating concern, does not need to shift the front grill forward for clearance, and no need to upgrade the rest of the driveline. Good luck on your swap!
Do you mind sharing what to total cost of this swap was? I have looked at doing this for a long time and seeing this video has sparked my interests again..
What alternator and belt kit did you use? I like what you did, it will make it easy if the alternator ever goes out. I am going with the same crate engine that you used.
Awesome work bud! Getting ready to do this myself, just waiting on the ECU and harness. How long did this swap take you? This will be my "vacation" this year and I'm trying to plan accordingly.
@@hadestech5005 thanks I appreciate it! Literally just the ECU and harness is holding me up. I have a group of people that are helping with the project so goal is to get done quick and get to camping.... hopefully
I used the JSS kits that comes with a bolt on motor mount. Install is very easy. Total cost is under 20k. If you get used engines it would be even lower
I did switched it to a sport case off from a manual Jeep, the auto case won't fit with the 8spd. The 1st gear of the 8spd is really low so it should be just fine in 4lo
