Thanks for watching! No I don't think RTV would work very well as a glue, I was more trying to use it to seal water and contaminants around the edges. The heater does have a sticky back that I am relying on to hold it in place.
Question. Can this thing burn a car? I have such a heater installed probably like 10 years ago on my car and never used it. Right now I would, but really afraid whether it's safe
Thank you for watching! I think it is extremely unlikely. It is said to only reach 195deg F. That is the typical running temperature for most engines, also consider the fact that water boils at 212deg F. The device doesnt get hot enough to boil water.
@@kovalenkoihor4325 If that were to happen it should blow the breaker in your house/shop. That being said, there is always a risk when playing with electricity, do so with good judgement.
