We are the Losee family of the Idaho Panhandle, our goal with this page is to share our outdoor adventures from hiking to boating, camping and Jeeps, I (Chris) have had a Jeep obsession's since I was young and have spread the Jeep love condition to my family! Our goal is to share the great outdoors and all they have to offer. I envision much of the material we share will be Jeep and trail oriented, there is no better way to enjoy and experience nature and get away from civilization than to do it behind the wheel of a Jeep!
It's Huckleberry Season!

Currently fighting the same battle on my '02 GC with the 4l, just got my new rocker arms in today. Was excited at first but after this video, not so much 😭. My rockers are also worse condition though, and there's about 3 I can move by hand and replicate the noise my 4l makes while running
@FamilyJeepingAdventures
@FamilyJeepingAdventures Год назад
Hopefully the rocker arm replacement helps you out. If you read down in the comments somebody also recommended replacing the valve springs. Maybe that could help too? I'm thinking when the weather warms up I'm going to drop the oil pan to look at all the rod bearings and check for broken piston skirts. If that is all good then I will rebuild the entire top end I think.
@Risk401
@Risk401 Год назад
@@FamilyJeepingAdventures I also planned on rebuilding the top end but running a bunch of different cleaners did help quiet mine down, I'm thinking maybe my noise might be more loose pulleys than rockers/lifters/injectors etc

@FamilyJeepingAdventures
@FamilyJeepingAdventures Год назад
Thank you for watching! I think it is extremely unlikely. It is said to only reach 195deg F. That is the typical running temperature for most engines, also consider the fact that water boils at 212deg F. The device doesnt get hot enough to boil water.

Your Jeep sounds like it has a miss partner. Still a cool rig. You in Kootenai County? Im an Idaho Native myself. What kind of trails are up there?
@FamilyJeepingAdventures
@FamilyJeepingAdventures Год назад
That is a good ear, sadly I sold this Jeep last year... It had lost compression on 2 cylinders. I ended up replacing it with a 91 Cherokee. I still love the classics though. Most of the trails up here are forest service trails, usually maintained ok, there are a few places you can go to have some fun, and the scenery is always awesome!

@@FamilyJeepingAdventures Thats cool. Im from McCall, but I live in the Treasure Valley now. Id imagine up in Sandpoint most of the trails are like what we had in McCall. Nothing too technical. I do a lot of wheeling around Kuna now and by the Orchard training area. Lots of cool stuff to flex yor rig and test your traction. Lots of short steep climbs with shelves at the top. Pretty fun.
