Thank you for all the detailed videos. At 11:31 when you closed the door the rear body did not move. My YJ will flop around even when the hard top is installed. Did you add something to the body between the roll bar and body to support the door pin?
No I have not added anything there. I'm not exactly sure I understand your issue, if the door pin is flopping around you can tighten it up, it just screws in with a torx socket.
I got the Smittybuilt ones given to me from a friend, can't wait to put them on! Only problem is they didn't come with hardware, do you know where I can find it & what specifically I would need?
Hmm I'm actually not sure, mine were a weird metric bolt. I'd say email customer service at Smittybilt and see if they can tell you or maybe send you some new hardware.
Thanks for posting. I just got the exact same set for my YJ, and mine appear to be labeled wrong as well ! Question, do you really need to loosen all 3 body mounts on each side to get that bracket under the center one?
You may be able to get away with just the one body bolt but you will be bending the tub in that one spot rather than lifting it up with the jack when trying to get the slider in.
Appreciate you making this video. Am also installing these to cover some body rust underneath the door but also create a step. Have any issue slipping off when stepping on? Thinking of making a rubber guard for the top after they go on.
