Right! It was quite unnerving, but unfortunately it didn't do that well, yet other movies that in my opinion, sucked as horror movies were made such a big deal out of.
The cool thing about this film was that amidst all the Scream-influenced irony-horror, it actually had the balls to make the monster an actual monster.
@@admir467 I'm assuming that the events that took place in the movie people probably thought those places were really haunted who lived close by the locations so the movie producers destroyed it.
Dylan Oleary heard they making a 4th and I won’t waste time seeing it What’s so funny is that we waited all these years for the third one and then it doesn’t come out in the movies it comes out on TV and then it gets only two stars which I thought was hilarious it’s just like you should’ve just left it alone
was hoping the church was still standing but that was nearly 20 yrs ago(doesn't feel like it) and it was already in bad shape then. nice video tour though. i always liked the scenery in that movie
grimmlifecollective 4:45-8:49 when are you going to do land of Oz filming locations(mgm/Warner Brothers-universal-disney-)and even the magic railroad(Strasburg railroad and somewhere probably in canda/Isle of man)?
Hard to believe it's been almost 20 years since the first Jeepers Creepers film was made, but for fans of the franchise such as myself it feels like just yesterday and this video feels like we're talking a trip down memory lane.
That tree where they pulled off the road to pee. Amazing how 20 years of growth really shows! I’ve thought about that recently - just moved back to the town where I went to high school and wondering how much bigger some of these trees have gotten in 20 years. This really shows it well.
Breaks my heart that where Trish and Darry wrecked through the fence has been modernized, that the church is gone and that the diner and police station are vacant. Not to mention how my heart breaks thinking that this film (one of my favorite horror films of all time) is nearly twenty years old...how time flies. Great video dude keep up the good work. Also, I apologize for the word vomit 😂.
Damn , Jeepers Creepers 1 came out almost 20 years ago. I remember watching this movie for the first time in 2005 when Blockbuster was still around, the store that sold physical DVDs before Netflix took over.. Haha
@@GoogleAccount-po1gl seriously? they're no just a building. . you seems like you're a person wjen someone dies who would say, "it's just a person" lol
@@immortalfirefly0641 that's a pretty asshole statement, saying that they must think if someone die they'll think "it's just a person" pretty sure he would feel sad if his loved ones died smh
Ahhh, so cool to see the actual locations! Also funny that so many scenes were revolving about that beautiful tree. It's a shame the abandoned church didn't survive to this day :(
I like how the final scene isn't Jonathan Breck but Justin long in a full creeper costume for that one bit at the end for the eyes so they could match.
Anyone get a sense of sadness and nostalgia when you see these places that have changed so much or no longer exist? Its like the world moving on and leaving no trace of what it once was, just like it will move on without you one day. I dunno. It also reminds me of better times in my life. PS: since this video was released, the school/police station no longer exists, its been demolished.
Jeepers Creepers is such a great horror movie, and one of the main reasons is the location, I've always thought it was quite picturesque and peaceful looking, well aside from the Creeper stalking his prey and all. But I assume the Creeper like the location as well and that's why he called it home.
i love The original script of Jeepers creepers 3 with Gina Phillips as Trish Jenner again and her son named Darry and The original plot of Jeepers creepers 3❤️🙏🏾
Hey @grimmlifecollective I went to these locations yesterday. Just an update on the “diner” location. It’s no longer a vacant building. It became a golf cart store. I was disappointed because I wanted some cool shots but the owners there didn’t seem like they’d be into horror so I vacated myself.
Bro. the directors cut of this scene was much worse. You could hear Darry screaming in the background as the camera moved forward slow when it got into the plant. He carved him up alive dude.
@@brandonsavitski The second movie confused me badly. I was lost as a kid until I started listening. It was stated on the radio when the story took place aka just a few days after the murdering of Darry Jenner. They were still pulling bodies out of the burned-down church. The only thing that got me about that whole thing is that no one went past and actually wanted that land the Church set on seeing it was raggedy aka the Church was raggedy at least.
I remember that meat packing plant. We used to get calls of homeless being in that place. It was creepy then. I'm surprised we don't get more movies filmed in Marion County. We have plenty of freaks.
I read the old church mysteriously burned down after this movie was made. I don't know how true about the whole mysterious thing is, but as far as I know the old church is gone now.
i live in gainesville fl, about 30-45 minutes away from these locations. jeepers creepers used to be my favorite horror movie as a kid and i never knew it was filmed right up the road. this is so cool!!
You can deff tell how far you have come telling storys you sound like a news reporter here lmao it's kinda funny but now your story telling has gotten extremely better
So cool i live in Ocala,Fl for about 3 years now . My daughter and i actually went the the Reddick library which is next to the that old abandon building.
I know this video is 4 years old but I'm new to y'all's channel as of about two and a half weeks ago. I just want to say y'all are a awesome couple. And this right here was really really cool . That's one of my favorite movies
I'm a Fan of all of the Jeepers Creepers Movies, I want them to do a movie on how This Creeper 1st started & what was like before he became what it became.💯
This is fantastic. Thank you so much for showcasing these locations. I love this film and am nowhere near Florida so I doubt I will ever see these in person.
Thank you ... I love the filming locations of films especially when you delve into the classics .. long may it continue and thank you for bringing this to us
This is so surreal! I watched Jeeper Creepers one day and I recognized the road myself. It’s in Dunnellon Florida-“Tiger Trail” it’s the road the High School and Elementary school is on. It’s by far the most BEAUTIFUL drive in the world. I used to look forward to going to Dunnellon for my job just so I could enjoy this drive. When I looked it up to confirm I was floored that I was correct!! That drive is amazing, btw st road 40 and the high school or Entrance to Rainbow Springs. Victor Salva, the director of keepers Creepers, was boycotted by people in dunnellon/Ocala because he was a convicted pedo when he made this movie. He was not allowed to go near the school’s on that road. I’ve been in that abandoned school in Reddick. They used to use the gym, but the rest of the school is rotting away. I used to have a job that worked with schools in this exact area. It’s so beautiful and quiet. I miss this area of Florida.
@@oscarvasquez6542 plenty of youngsters have broken into abandoned places, we use to do it all the time even getting shot a once by a farmer with a shot gun.. ohh the good old days.
I freaking love this channel, the Savini episode was probably the single greatest RU-vid video ever and this is cool too. The theme song is badass as well, keep up the amazing work you guys are just the bee's fucking knees!
I would not have guessed Florida for the location. I live in rural Colorado and it looks A LOT like this except the moss trees. I woulda figured, Wyoming, Idaho or Iowa or some other open land.
Man this was such a cool movie. I remember my wife, sister-in-law and her ex-husband were all watching this late at night at my in-law's apartment and a cat jumped from the upper balcony onto their patio table and scared the life out of the girls. Coincidentally it was right at the end when the creeper views the camera from behind barry. To this day my wife hates that very scene and will stop watching the movie when it comes up. Great movie location scouting michael, you never fail to amaxe me in your research. Happy halloween michael and baby ghoul 🎃
This movie scared me so badly I don’t think I could step on that road when I move to Florida. But I wanna check it out so badly. My favorite horror film ❤️.
Saludos!
There should be a return to Dunnellon. I am originally from Miami and moved here a few years ago but I am told here was some sort of economic collapse here in the 40s or early 50s and there are a lot of old, abandoned buildings and houses here. Great place for a horror movie.
