First saw Imelda at bluegrass festival 15 years ago

Was watching a PBS musical show. It was broadcasting this show from New York city. I was awe struck. What a performance. When it ended the screen said Beck and Imelda were coming to Chicago. I bought the most expensive concert tickets I could. Bought two tickets for $600 and took one of my daughters. Introduced her to Beck. Fabulous show.

What's the super genius part of Jeff is the way he builds his sections, in the opening he states the theme, then he vamps and brings it up to a mini crescendo with double stops to welcome Imelda on to the stage, later when he does his solo it's all bigger than the intro but he stills builds all the pieces of the solo to a climax. Also throughout the whole song he's always complimenting and doing call and answer with Imelda. JUST BRILLIANT MASTERY !!

I can't get over how great this is! I just keep playing it over and over realizing how brilliant Jeff's melody lines are and Imelda's counter point is🎉

I have never seen a woman enjoy so much pleasure with a guitarist. Orgasms of guitar and voice. That's music!! Please, wherever you are Jeff, make her cry again like that. An awsome duet sustain by a such a great rythmic.

No one else can play a Fender like Jeff Beck. He's got a completely different style that no one else can ever consider competing with. Granted that Eric Clapton is a master of the Telecaster, but there's a complex style involved with Jeff and that wang bar. He's definitely a great musician and I don't believe he's gotten the credit he's deserved. His treatment of the band members says it all. He shows that he's not the star of the show he's always appreciative of the people who contribute to his amazing work. And he shows it with every look after thier performance. Always a nod and smile of appreciation for all.

My fantasy would be to hear Jeff Beck in his prime [like this cut] play it with the original Shangri La's in their prime. The "La's" version is classic and that's with all respect to Imelda. Maybe if I make to heaven, I can hear it there. I'm sure Jeff would be Jamming with many of his favorite female vocalists. Imagine Jeff playing with Aretha, Janis, Diana Ross, Big Mama Thornton, and jamming with Sister Rosetta Tharpe. Wow.

I saw Jeff Beck when he opened for Starship in ~1976, and then on five more occasions from 2000-2017. I don't know what it was about this group in 2010, who I saw at the 9:30 Club, that made it the most memorable. Jeff came out with the band and did a couple of standards. I was more than a bit skeptical being the fusion-head I am, but the drummer (from whom I expected only disappointment) grew on me fast. Then, as in this video, Imelda May came on stage for, well, you hear it here - they're glorious together. Then she left the stage... the lights went down... and it started... with a bang... with Peter Gunn! The whole concert was great, but starting that moment, it was pure genius. They blew the roof off. I'm sooo grateful to Jeff Beck.

Since my long years listeninga and adoring Rock´Roll, mainly the great guitar pleyars begining from the amazing Jimmy Hendrix, passing thtou Jimmy Page, Gary Moore, Ritchie Blacmore, BB King, David Guilmor and so many others. Forgive me if i forget them. Jeff Back is for me, the guy that could get sounds from the guitar i never heard from eny of the others. So i think he is one ofe the best ever, a god of the guitars.

David Bowie was in the crowd for this show, I have pic of Jeff and David in the green room. I started working at the Iridium where this was filmed where so many guitar legends payed homage to the late great Les Paul. Really wish I had been there for this one. Imelda and Jeff together was a stroke of brilliance. First time I ever saw Imelda was this tour at Fillmore West (rockin that same hair doo) .. what a show, what a night. Together they lifted the roof off the place .. rockabilly, through Les Paul material and more. Night ended with a stunning version of Danny Boy, Jeff landed the sweetest solo and Imelda had us all under her spell. I cannot overstate how impressed I was with that show. RIP Mr Beck and Thank You
