Jeff Beck had his last days playing all over the world with Johnny Depp, what an awesome duo they made, they were synchronized like brothers. Both giving without jealousy or envy. Johnny must miss Jeff a great deal. RIP Jeff, and Johnny take care, always with,🕊️💘🥹🙋👼🌌🌠🙋
Rhonda Smith, canadian bassist, magnificient style. Anika Nilles on drums ! Two women for rythm section, rare..., si rare,... Thanks Jeff Beck promoting talented women on stage ! This was Jeff Beck... The Mozart's of electric guitar !
Who could have guessed he'd be dead in 6 weeks!? Such a Tragedy shock and tremendous loss of an immeasurable irreplaceable guitar Genius and Virtuoso! So sad! True Englishman humble yet so extremely talented and loved by so many and ALL your peers! God Bless and RIP(Rock in Paradise) Jeff. 🎸🏴🇬🇧🙏
What a great selfless human being for Jeff Beck to take Depp under his wing here with tours etc. and let him be what he wanted to be for the longest time before being an actor besides his personal demons that he went through. It's a dream come true for Depp here. RIP JB.✌
Beck and Depp work fantastic together. Beck is a legend. Depp is an amazing artist. The drummer and the bass player are phenomenal. Those two ladies kick some serious ass.
Thank you so much for the love and support, I really appreciate the manner in which I have made contact with you, how long have you been a fan of mine ? ❤
I can't imagine Johnny's pain right now, along with Jeff's loved ones. RiP Jeff Beck, the world feels a deep loss and sadness. Thank you for leaving behind such beautiful music!
Got to see him and Johnny in 2019 at the celebrity theater but didn't get to see him this year. I deeply regret not being able to go. Thank you for this. We lost a big legend. Im glad i saw him twice in my life. He was a spectacle to see
D Scott this video is immortal not only by Maestro Jeff Beck and his musicians but of this magnificent stage and because it is a beautiful concert of Jeff and Johnny Depp together....here lies the spirit of good rock and two beautiful friends Jeff Beck and Johnny Depp. Forever immortalized here. Thanks friend. Once more I came to your video to honour those we cherished....a concert/place/time....for ever in our lifes....this is the one for me where Maestro Jeff Beck delights us with his unique guitar accords and shares the stage with Johnny Depp. Moments in time we cannot forget. Rock n roll began with Elvis Presley and continues live in this concert....to my private taste...of good music and good interpretation of Johnny Depp. Life doesn't change one way of being....and certainly in this concert I found what I loved in life
Rock and roll began with Elvis Preley?? ...a guy that never wrote one, single song??? Lol...Iknow what you mean but rock and roll would have been just fine had Elvis lived or not lived. Rock and roll began with Little Richard, Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, Fats Domino.... ..the roots go back even 10 years before these men. It was radio disc jockey Alan Freed who waas the very first to bring rock and roll to a crossover level with the white public and musicians in 1951.. when he became the first to play the black rock and roll artists on a major white audience radio station. It was because of Alan Freed that racial barriers in music broke down and whites first began to embrace the music. The white musicians that followed joined rock and roll by covering songs of the pioneers and new white musicians/songwriter began to appear like Bill Haley, Buddy Holly, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis... ..Johnny Cash, Eddie Cochran, etc. brought the rockabilly genre along with Great Britain's early skiffle artists like Lonnie Donagen (no doubt why Hank Marvin, Lennon, Mcartney, Harrison Jeff Beck, Page, Clapton, Townsend, et al., bought their first guitars) brought new material into the world of rock and roll. Elvis Presley became hugely famous but merely as a cover-band type entertainer who simply covered the hits of the many who actually had a part in creating rock and roll. Elvis never had an original idea, never wrote a thing. He was a pretty face who was heavily promoted while copying the songs that were already hits. And yes, he was referred to an the press as "The King" but a man who could write a song could not a "begun" any style of music. I'm not cririsizing this post at all, it's a common statement that seems most seem to believe. I just wanted to clarify that Elvis also covered country music, Christian music, and he covered lots of R&B as well...at the time of his death he was shifting song styles to disco which was just hitting the charts. ....just a cover-artist that jumped on the latest music trends...a hugely popular one but a cover-band entertainer nonethe less. Granted, he deserves notice if only for the large scope of his poularity. It's just that his role as a musician has been blurred into the public assuming he is in the same class of real musicians who were the true creators of rock and roll music. Elvis was a good entertainer/performer, corporate industry hyped and promoted his sex appeal marketing him as a matinee idol in films and a teen idol in music at just the right time plus his management was also brilliant with gimmicks inmerchandising (rock and roll had already begun and was the dominant trend in music before Elvis was ever heard of). Had Elvis been slightly less handsome or attractive... ..we would've never heard of him, rock and roll would still be just as going strong, and boy bands / teenage heart throbs who entertain with sex appeal while covering songs writeen by the talents of others would still be making names for themselves.
He didn’t”play” guitar - he “extracted” notes out of it that guitar “players” will be searching for a thousand years from now. And amazingly, I don’t recall him ever retuning during a set - didn’t matter if was in an air conditioned building or outdoors in 100-degree stage heat, with a stock vintage Strat tremolo he’d go on bombing runs, bend notes 1 1/2 steps…in pairs, manage full step raises with the trem, twist sounds that don’t exist in the actual “guitar universe” - and then go into a slow, tender ballad. All without retuning. He could have set a top hat on a Table, come on stage, flipped it over and pulled a stock 60’s Strat out of it. He was a true magician with a unique musical instrument. Not a “ guitar player”. To paraphrase Jimmy Page: “there was Jeff Beck - THEN everybody else.” RIP.
DScott I will always will come to this concert...not only by the stage....but the concert itself....Jeff Beck and our Johnny Depp....our rock 'n roll....that today he is the King of rock 'n roll....so nice to go back to you and remember not long ago they where both running by bus america...as once Elvis Presley did driving himself the tour bus. If Elvis was the King then....Johnny Depp is undoubtedly my kind of rock 'n roll and his way of playing his guitar and the way he walks until he sings....is like yesterday with Elvis Presley. My opinion.
@Jeff I don't know what you mean. What is meant by your statement "...empty Jeff Beck's bucket..."? What is so hard to understand about two long-time friends enjoying life and having fun?
Deepest condolences for your family love and prayers for you all soso sorry the world has lost a genius and I am sorry for you loss love you all pauline xxxxxx
Was fortunate enough to see Jeff play with Rod Stewart years ago. Great musician who will be missed by his friends and fans alike. I would add peers, but I don't think he had any. Lol. Truly one of the best who ever picked up an ax
He had it to the very end, once a genius musician, always a genius musician! His influence will continue and his music seen in video and heard into infinity. RIP to one of the very best and responsible for a lot of the music I have been listening to since the mid 60s. 🎸
Didn't get to see nor meet these two in person but have been watching the concerts on YOU TUBE. My I must say Jeff can really play those guitars fantastically. Wow. Excellent Job Jeff Beck!!!! Great. The view is so good from my phone. 🙂 I'm sure they had lots of fun.
Jeff Beck is a living guitar legend for me with his own unique tone and playing his stratocaster!!!!!!! This man tells stories with his instrument and the rest of the band are the next generation of excellent musicians!!!!!!!
Freeway Jam 🎸 👌 straight into Loose Cannon, which is so rockin' and funky. Then the beautiful ballad piece. Then Big Block, blues rock. You know, you know 😏 by John McLaughlin. Unfortunately, Me and the Devil, cut short. Cause We've Ended As Lovers by Stevie Wonder 🎶 💙 Enter Johnny Depp! (Captain Jack, Edward etc.) Rumble Song for Miss Hedy Lamar Death and Resurrection Show The End.... Nice compilation. Jeff should put out a live DVD of this show. This Auditorium is special, its so cool "in the round 😎 "
Beautiful concert at phoenix stage.....wonderful to see Jeff and Johnny.....not easy to perform in such a stage....but it is the same way outstanding. Great recording....Jeff Beck as usual is a solist in playing his guitar accords. Extraordinary.....and Johnny Depp voice sounds very beautiful....the sound is great. I love this stage with the audience around....thank you
DScott.....undoubtedly in Phoenix stage this outstanding stage....Jeff Beck he sings with his guitar accords...no doubt he is outstanding....listening again to your video. No doubt he is in nr.5 in the world.....but even if I am not within this type of guitar-solists....there is him playing with a symphonic orchestra Nessumdorma....which shows exactly my words. He replaces any good solist in the world. A new approach to classic music. Jeff Beck also portrait various different instruments incredible for such a guitar.
Love Jeff Beck forever. Amazing, Johnny who I also love, is finally living his real dream. Being an OMG jaw dropping musician AND with Jeff Beck ... OMG so happy for you Johnny!!! You are so deserving!!! Always lives Johnny's singing as well.
please, what is the song that starts at minute 10. It is a masterpiece, it transports you to another world. Another genius who meets with the masters of his species. R.I.P.
This could be some of the last great footage of an iconic guitar legend, so shocked and deeply saddened by the news late yesterday, I hope that JD has the inner strength to overcome this great loss....

I was following all of these incredible concerts of the European and then American tours as they happened. It was one of the most exciting and inspiring experiences I've ever had. Then one month later Jeff is suddenly gone. (!) He looked so healthy and happy; playing so strong. Life just caught up with him, it's so unfair. That wonderful body- brain to fingers, heart to guitar- taken out of commission so unexpectedly. Life is so fragile and unpredictable. So grateful 🙏 for all the years this amazing artist played for us. All of the wonderful albums and so many incredible shows. I saw 12 (!) Such a tremendous gift. Thank you Jeff Beck 🙏. Fly on mate. 🕉
