Love your analysis. I think Johnny is definitely a fan of the '60s/70's music and especially a fan of Bowie, Iggy Pop, and Lou Reed... I hear a lot of Bowie in his voice not sure if you heard it too. Also, Jeff Beck on guitar is outta this world!

I really believed this is just about it being a phenomenal enjoyable song to cover, and nothing to do with JDs personal life. after all we dont want ideas to be put in you know who's already warped head.

This song accompanies a video. The video has his character in Beetlejuice 2. EDIT: A couple of hours ago he changed the video to show scenes of him during court case. NOTE: The "original" video that he posted for about one day, had Marilyn Manson in it and him as his character in Beetlejuice 2. There were other scenes taken from the movie trailer and played backward in the video to make it more creepy. Good luck with your site, I'm a subscriber.

dude - you should always listen to the original - that being said. i like Beck and Depp's version Way better. Underground has too much of ''i live in a lava lamp sound' - - - and i grew up with that stuff.
