Kevin Harvick he knew what was up and he saw that Brad was trying to find an escape route, and he said “Oh no no no, we are not going to have any of that. Go fight with Jeff and finish what you started.”
Kevin Harvick pushed Brad of another blocking incident. Kevin had a faster car and was going to catch the leader if Brad hadn't blocked him. He was already headed towards Brad's team after it.

Joe Kaput Yeah, 'cause Jimmie's one of the calmest guys among the NASCAR drivers. I think he took Kenseth's title of being the calmest one-- thanks to the Team Penske drivers. But yes. He and Carl Edwards are probably the two most fit drivers on the track.
carl and denny are far more ripped from a physical standpoint that jimmie. jimmie does lots of cardio but doesn't lift like carl or denny does. still id say gordon is quite tough for his size. i mean honesly who else has been in more physical altercations then jeff? dudes like 5 foot 7 n i've seen him go after matt, burton, and here brad. i give him credit most drivers talk the tough talk but you never see em do shit.
Cody Hackl Jeff also had the advantage in that he came from the tail end of the era where NASCAR drivers were mostly big tough southern men where the only way to get respect was to be a little confrontational.
You can clearly see that Brad knows that Gordon is seriously pissed at him, and he's looking for a way out of it. But Kevin Harvick would have none of that! Basically told Brad "you started this with Gordon, and now you're gonna finish it! Be a man and handle your business!"

I've been rewatching this for years and I didn't realize until today that Jeff never let go of Brad's collar until deep into the dogpile. Jeff disappears soon after grabbing on and then one of gordon's crew members grabs Brad's face for a second and you can see Jeff's arm and his hand still holding on. Then Jeff's face reappears and he looks like he's ready to kill Brad lmao. Man was livid.
Saw him at Las Vegas. Kevin grinned and laughed, said no problem at all. Was happy to help Jeff. In fact talked to Matt Kenseth at Homestead last year after he got back off probation for him wrecking Logano. Told him there were a whole lot of us out there that stood behind him and respected him for doing what he did. He said thank you and said he really appreciated it and hearing it.
Kenseth was really nice. I truly wanted him to know that and felt he truly appreciated hearing it too. And yes Jeff winning was a really nice bonus. In fact the reason I went to Homestead was I told my best friend that if Jeff won Martinsville I was going to homestead.
Gordon's comment "I got slammed by 2" still makes me laugh! Come on Jeff any driver trying to win would have made that same move, all these years later.

07’ & ‘14 absolutely. 05’ no. Even if he had 4 wins that season, he was also wildly inconsistent. He had a better chance winning the championship in ‘04.
Im becoming a Brad fan. I love that he's been through rivalries and fights will all these top guys and he's still the exact same. Never changed. He's going to have an interesting legacy

You knew shit was going to get real when Gordon's crew left their headsets on top of his car. Harvick was the hero there when he gave Keselowski the shove that gave Gordon the chance at getting ahold of his suit. I would have loved to have seen more damage on the dipshit's face.

Jeff Gordon had a Fat Lip Too ! I've seen other drivers bump Draught Keselowski and total his car on the first Lap of 3 Different Races ! All fair in Love, War and Nascar!.
Thanks for Posting this as I'm trying to understand my Notes from Set to do Bit related to this thing. I know Gordon had a tussle with Burton at this same race in 2010. I was trying to understand what the 2014 note was about. Funny how this race guy has a thing 4 years later too. I guess it must be JEff Gordon is not well liked or drives in a manner that leads to this reaction. I like how people in the comments can hear things or helps me understand it better ;).
