I reacted to this without knowing he was blind , It was a live reaction on my Twitch and after the song ended I saw that everyone wrote in chat he was blind actually , I felt so so so bad But my community assured me that it was actually for the best as I did not look or listen to him with pity .
I highly suggest you to go listen to Jeff Healey - As The Years Go Passing By song here: • Jeff Healey - As The Y...

You didn't mess up. You reacted to and appreciated Jeff's incredible skills before finding out he was blind. To me, that makes your reaction even better. Now that you know, when looking back it makes his playing that much more impressive. He was legendary.

I was able to play with and record with him and Stevie Ray. Two of the most amazing blues guitarist ever. Such a loss that both are now gone.

I genuinely love this reaction. It's so sincere and you were blown away before you knew. That makes him and his music more impressive, not less. He was a true giant in modern blues guitar and he is missed. Thank you for helping spread his music to others who haven't heard of him.

This Canadian older man loved your reaction to an amazing guitarist and vocalist. He left us way too soon.

That was the most genuine video I've seen in a long time. I don't know how a heart that size fits, but it certainly does. Much respect.

He was blind since he was 1 year old due to a cancer. He had several surgery's due to cancer. He passed away at the age of 41 due to cancer RIP Jeff

“I don’t understand how people can be this talented.” Yeah you don’t understand it, because what you don’t realize is that is ALL he did. You watch interviews with all of these guys, and almost 100% of them from the time they were 14, and some earlier than that had zero social lives, no girlfriends, no other interests, it was just guitar….for hours, and hours, and hours every single day! Talent is like maybe 10% of why they were and are so good. The other 90% is just good old fashioned hard work. That’s it, that’s all it is.

You felt his music. Even not realizing Jeff was blind you FELT the outstanding talent of the man, perceived some things that are beyond talent, almost like a divine gift. Nothing to be ashamed of. Really genuine and kind reaction of yours

You didn't mess up at all - you said you loved his voice and were in awe of the way he played guitar without even looking at it - exactly. You loved his playing and voice and that is exactly what it's all about. BTW, I saw him live in a small university basement room with about 300 people in the audience and he just about blew my eardrums out - don't think I heard any of my lectures the rest of the day.

All you need to do is practice, practice, practice x 1000. Then you will get it. No. It's not luck. It's practice and dedication.

Jeff was a really special guy. You gave the response he would have wanted. He was a performer. Not a blind person.

Jeff healey was one of the most under rated musicians. So so talented and being blind made him all that much more amazing. So soulful. RIP Jeff healey

Why would you feel bad?? It's WONDERFUL that you didn't know it Jeff was blind! That meant that you appreciated his music and his talent for what it was, without any preconceptions. That's what most people with disabilities want!

I can not say much more than: thank you for bringing back Jeff Healey, such a wonderful talent whom we lost way too early.

Jeff was such a humble and kind hearted soul who saw the irony in everything - especially how his biggest hit opened up with, "girl you're looking fine tonight" - and never took offense nor took anything for granted. So don't feel bad about him and his blindness. Jeff felt bad enough for hearing impaired or deaf people to ever spend a moment feeling sorry for himself. I recall him saying once in an interview, "Of all the genres of music, they'd feel the Blues the hardest." 🥺 He's soooo right ... 😔

not bad for a blind man ONE OF THE BEST R.I.P. MY FRIEND

Jeff would have been so pleased that you considered him a guitar god without judging him based on his blindness but purely by his talent. Great reaction Bisscute.

This guy melted my face live in Brazil in 1994...what a unforgetable evening that was
