Jeff Samardzija is soooooo sick. I wish i would have watched him earlier in his career than just his senior year. I was too into SC so i didn't notice him until late.
He pitched a hell of a game today against the Nats, exception being the HR in the 9th (that could have been prevented had Castro not made the error). Would have loved to have seen how he would have turned out in the NFL, but as a Cubs fan, I can't complain :-)
He was the best wide reciever ever i think he had moves and could catch and throw! just like Darren McFadden! He should have went to the NFL i still respect his choice though:(
wow, these highlights are givin me chills. If nd had a defense this would have been the most lethal playmaking team of all time. We'll never see a qb-wr duo like this ever again whether youre for nd or not.
Even though I'm an ALABAMA fan, I used to love watching Jeff play, he was probably one of the most fundamentally sound wide receivers I've seen in a very long time.
Alabama is my alma mater. I cringe when their football players speak. Notre Dame players speak like they are professors of English. Bamas may not go to class, but Domers surely do.
Oh and about me scoring a TD vs UCLA, I'm not the one getting a full-ride scholarship to play football. But I know of the others who could (Ginn, Gonzalez, Robiskie, Manningham, Roy Hall, and about every other D1-A WR at an average football college
he got a 16 million dollar guaranteed contract plus a couple million in bonus money, I think he is ok with his decision. He was going to be a late first round draft pick so it was the better decision in terms of money. I would have loved to see what he could have done in the nfl too though, although comparing him to Fitzgerald is a bit much
All that and a 95 mph fastball.....he's a hell of an athlete........I think he would have been a special football player but as a pitcher ....nothing special.
Oh and after watching the entire play from the snap, Quinn scrambling made the play not Samardzija-barely even touched, just ran and cut by a defender in no man's land w/out a chance. And I was wrong, any college WR (including lower divisions) could have done that.
His pitching delivery remind me of when the Rangers made Jose Canseco pitch :P 3:14 & 3:18 You guys sure that aint Richard Ramirez? LOL just f***ing around. Dude's got too much talent to let it end at the college level.
He chose the right sport. He will be a free agent after 2015 and make over $100 million. Plus it seems like he loves baseball more than football anyway.
He is a stud in baseball.hes got a 98 mph fastball.plus 2 million out of the gate.how do u pass that up.and thats just playing in the minors his first year
i completely disagree, great hands, tall, great awareness, he is first rounder all the way, especially with the notre dame td record. he was fast enough to make it in the pros
making millions doing what he loves, playing baseball. seriously tho he has maybe the best pair of hands ive ever seen on a wide out. he wouldve been a star in the NFL, rather than another guy in the MLB.
He's actually a solid starting pitcher and doesn't have to take severe physical sacrifices playing baseball, but this dude in the slot, would've been one of the greatest to ever do it.
why baseball dawg why he coulda been a solid starting receiver on any NFL team right away instead he has to wait like 6 yrs in triple A before he could pitch in the majors
Have any of you goofballs seen what he's done for the Cubs? 0.96 era. he's been almost unhittable. Who knows what he would of done in the NFL. Would of he gotten a ring right away? I think with the Cubs, he has a great chance.
GO SHARK......................he can make more money in baseball and i think thats why he chose that. look at MLB contracts, they're ridiculous jack. but yeah he's a freak. quite possibly ND's greatest receiver EVER. move over Mays and Brown.
he would've dominated the nfl it's a shame he decided to play baseball instead it wouldve proved that whites can dominate at the wide receiving position and that whole stupid stereotype about how whites can never dominate the position the way black athletes do.. he broke every notre dame record for receivers that's saying a lot no doubt he wouldve def. put up some eye opening numbers wouldve made the pro bowl all throughout his career
why did this amazing boy go to baseball???? It's such a boring sport and he was such an AMAZING football player!! He should've gone to the browns with Brady and Darius Walker should've too
