As a greying crusty-eyebrow-earhair old man quickly losing touch with an internet that I enjoyed before hashtags defined humanity.... I love these guys. It's supposed to be a goofball, and reminds me of the sound of weezer 20 years or so ago. Its not pop, but definitely uses all the hooks and whatever musicy stuff its called that gives it a classic sound. But these guys are dopes. Which I'm ok with. peace.
What a pleasure to watch these gifted musicians. I love the version of Diamond Way in the Tiny Desk Concert with the simple, precise percussive and guitar prelude (Jamin chugs PBR and never misses a beat) , then it changes tempo and jumps into the meat of the song. Now I listen to the cd version of Diamond Way and I feel cheated, it appears too succinct and overproduced.
Sweet. A nice little breather from the "typical" NPR fare. DOn't get me wrong, I love the "typical" NPR, its just nice to see a wide range of tunes. JTB are refreshing and real
I buy there music, and I'm guessing the majority of the other people who have watched this video do too. Just because you don't personally know people who listen to JTB doesn't mean no one does. They're more talented and more popular than a lot of other musicians and bands.
@et720 Perhaps, from this short set it's it's hard to tell. Everybody has their own opinion of what's good. It's more what do you LIKE. But, hell, i like Yacht.
