I would actually love this to be a part of a new rendition of the album that reflects the changes made to the stage show in more recent years. I'd buy that in a heartbeat, and I'd love to hear a much fuller version of Forever Autumn on there.

This is a new Justin vocal. The ending chorus reveals that for sure. Extraordinary how little his voice has changed.

This is amazing during the immersive experience , heading of down the thames in a boat with VR headset on as this plays . The immersive experience is staggering if you have not been .

The Reporter had his Carrie. This reporter had his Debbie. The loss remains as devastating as ever. This new version is much better than I expected. The blend of old and new works here. This remains the defining song of my time.

Hmm, have to agree. Not that this version is bad its just the original was unique and worked. If anything cleaning up the original just a tad would be more acceptable.

Just saw the show in Brighton, absolutely superb but quite a bit of strings missing from the original arrangement. Nice Martin Audio rig but the synths and strings were very low in the very, very loud mix.

The one thing that nags me about the newer versions of Forever Autumn like this one and the new generation one is the way the guitar riff at the end is played at the end, in the original, it sounded like an actual guitar, with a bunch of power and kick in it, while in the new generation and in this one, it doesn’t have that kick, it sounds like it was played on a keyboard, even though it was played on a guitar, thank you for coming to this stupid rant about something small, kinda sounding like society.

They sound like the original tbh. If you see any of his live stuff nowadays his voice is a bit deeper and rougher.

WOTW's score reminds me of Oldfield because the leitmotif of the strings/wood in Eve of the War/Forever Autumn (especially at 3:00) sounds like something he'd make

The original is better. I don't like this arrangement. There's some weird "chunk-chunk" beat, which is too distracting; and the electric guitar at the end lacks the power of the original mix.

I agree too. Original is much better in my opinion. But maybe it's because we're used to the original? Maybe it's as perfect as the original to someone who's only just heard the song.

@@kathcousens4350 It is still the same key. They just modulates in the intro sequence through diffrent ones. The verses and choruses are still the same.

It sounds like they have used Justin's original 1978 vocal.

@@doughorton3635 I compared it. The single on iTunes features all 3 versions. No they didn’t. He sounds a lot „darker“ (older) and also words and accents sound different. This is definitely a new recording.
