That's !I problem with AI art , it's really good at sinister or eerie especially when spoon fed it with a trippy song like this. But it can't do a happy cheery picture. It can't seem to manage to conjure up a picture that gives a person peace of mind. It can't do 'innocent ', I think that's the problem. It obviously doesn't possess empathy ( not being a human) so if you asked for a cosy family portrait the best you could hope for, the best, is bland. But it wouldn't be , there would be a problem with the faces. Ethereal is not ordinary, elfin is not cosy. It's terrible at human faces which I think speaks volumes.

Absolutely, it is quite stunning how consistent it fits the overall tone of the composition. I always wonder how the songwriters would have reacted, if you could have shown them the results back in the days, when masterpieces like this song were published.

Based on the description, the video was generated using a surrealism theme in the AI program so its not too surprising that the images are surreal. Given that the song was first released on the album Surrealistic Pillow, the theme choice was pretty straightforward.

@@mikel5582 That is definitely true and also was the intention here. But there is still a lot headroom for how renders actually turn out and especially the Alice in Wonderland themed images, it just got the mood right without any further specification on the prompt.

No she wouldnt! Shes an artist...a true creative...AI is NOT. She understands the value of creativity and making a piece of art starting with nothing but an idea and urge/inspiration to create....to a finished product...in both music and visual arts. AI doesnt start from "nothing" nor an iinspired ntention. It scrapes images and reference from the web to generate its images. Its forms/images are not TRUE original art....its all based on stolen images its referenced and then does mashups composited or arranged differently. There is no passion, no symbolism, no intent for its viewers. It merely spits out instructed images without care, inspiration, passion or thought. To the novice it may seem "cool" but if theres nothing behind its creation, then its just meaningless visuals. What an insult to Grace Slick for you to say that she would get a kick out of it! She would not approve of it...100%!

There is some controversy about AI artworks only being imitations of human creations, which is true to some extent, but if someone claims to know at least a tiny bit about art, he/she could see that this kind of art style and process of creation is so distinct from the way humans create art.
