In the 90s these sounds were kinda popular. They were like what we call ASMR today. The real dahmer listened to whale sounds on prision, according to the documents from the case

haha!! Unfortunately I made bad choices in my younger years & had to do some time - you make due with what you got! There was no floss, so I used to tear a piece of string off of my clothing/prison outfit and use that as floss. Pillows in jail were horrible too, so I'd stuff mine with my extra clothing to make it an actual fluffy pillow. You take small things like that for granted!

The real Dahmer did call people dude and talk mellow. His Inside Edition interview has much deleted footage of him making small talk with the host lady. He's a sick monster who deserved to die but I respect the HELL out of the way he really does own that fact and blames NOBODY for his own evil. He wanted to die to spare people from thinking about his crimes or life any further. He wanted the easy way out. I say if he made that conscious choice and the victims families were ok with it, then he should've been able to end his life.
Hell I hate Dahmer. He’s a disgusting, vile, piece of shit. But even I find it hilarious. Everything from the reaction of the inmates, to his accent, to his argument with the guard, and his defiant nature, stating he will get more whale noises, and finally it ending with someone telling him to shut the fuck up. It made me burst out laughing.
Yeah if you haven’t seen asylum American horror story your missing out. He was phenomenal in that season. But also great in the others. He has deserved more work for over a decade. I’m glad this shot him up in status.
I don’t think they’re creepy. People use them to relax, it’s the context that makes them creepy. They kinda remind of ghosts or moaning soul in the underworld.
I totally understand, I love listening to rain, but Dahmer was locked up with people, who've never seen a whale, and didn't know that they make noises, but this scene was funny😁
I knew a kid that acted and talked like this in school in the 90s. Pissed everyone off. They finally booted him when he chucked a dictionary at a girls head for laughing at him.

I understood it was a whale song in the first episode, but I couldn’t figure out why they’d use it in this context. After watching this episode I got it, it wasn’t a random creative choice. I have to admit that it sounds so creepy when put it in those scenes, it gives you an idea of a haunted place, like a dark deadly atmosfera, and I usually like whale songs, though I’m not sure I will after this series 😂
