Axeman995 They won't do that anymore, actually. An update to their list of content considered not advertiser-friendly alludes to the Elsa and Spider-Man garbage, so they're off life support as far as I can understand. That being said, it still confounds me how that was considered appropriate for as long as it did. It's also ridiculous that this sort of content, which is frankly on or above par with true crime found on TV, is considered unfit for advertisement by RU-vid.

One thing you can say for sure is, if he had escaped imprisonment like Bundy and fell back into his old ways, his photo had by then been splashed on almost every TV news report, paper and magazine in the world - there was no way he could restart his operations like Ted did. Few people hadn't seen his face by 1993. The media literally ruined any chance at anonymity or a new identity he may have ever had, other than extensive plastic surgery. I noticed they often showed full length body shots of Dahmer probably in case he did get out and have his face radically altered to disguise who he was.

Well there is a saying two wrongs don't make a right. The killer of Dahmer is still a murderer. It doesn't in reality put him on a higher moral plane than Dahmer. We might not like to think that and even feel good that he was killed but that's a human feeling and not the ideas of our universe and its laws.

Oh man that was just absolutely horrific, I can't believe the cops ignored a drugged up, naked, blood covered, scared, disoriented young man protesting that he didn't want to go into the apartment or with Dahmer at all... Leading to his death, immediately 😨 They had the sicko right there, the kid so closely made it out alive, there were definitely grounds to take him in, or take the kid in, or check out the apartment... And they just let a sick fuck go, let, scratch that *made* a man walk right into his death! Absolutely horrifying. Scary shit. I wonder how they felt when they realised what had happened. I hope they felt bad.

I live in Bath, Ohio just down the road from his childhood home. I attended Revere local schools through 8th Grade where he also received his education. I drive past the house where he committed his first homicide every day and I've been hearing the stories growing up in this town for as long as I can remember. My locker in 5th grade was in fact next to his former locker which is now blocked off so no other students can use it. He's quite the legend in this sleepy little town...

I watched a documentary on this dude and inmates said as a joke he would take his food and jokingly put it together like human body parts n cover it with ketchup acting like the ketchup was blood... he'd look at other inmates.. laugh about it and then scarf it down... he was genuinely hated

He had quite a wicked sense of humour. He also put up a sign on a pinboard for "Cannibals Anonymous", which was taken down very swiftly. He was so suicidal he wasn't allowed shoelaces, so as a joke he asked the guards for cyanide tablets. They were not amused. Another time, as he was being wheeled into court, a woman saw him, recognised him, and screamed. Deadpan, he murmured, "Guess I should have shaved." He was actually quite popular among the guards, from what i know, and most who spoke to him had nothing bad to say. One person (can't remember if they were a reporter or a guard) even called him "a surprisingly good person. Quiet." I think the reaction to his humour was for one of two reasons really, 1) he really was just extremely dry and self-deprecating and people took it the wrong way, or 2) he was subtly warning other people away from him, as he liked to keep to himself and a lot of murderers have been known to scare or intimidate other inmates so they won't be picked on. Maybe it's a bit of both. Either way, he was pretty funny.

I grew up in Milwaukee, still live here. My late grandfather was actually Jeffrey dahmers parole officer, but before he was presumed to be killing. I remember him telling me that he was an actually pretty charming guy, he ended up killing and eating one of the few black males in my mothers class. I have pretty strange connections to him, but on the side note my father went to school with Chris Farley at Marquette, my dad always jokes that he could of been in the same bar with Chris Farley and Jeffrey Dahmer lol

I grew up in Milwaukee and had a family friend that worked for the county jail and was working the night Jeffery was brought in before he was transferred. He had to watch over him that night, and says the whole time he kept trying to talk to him and acted as if nothing had happened.

@Jessica Uwadiae no they did not, the cops were tricked by him, back then if someone said they were a child's guardian and the child doesn't say otherwise they had no real reason not to believe them, Jeffery is the one who killed him, at worst the cops were neglectful of their duties. Also there's no evidence that hell exists at all so they probably aren't. Plus eternal torment seems like a bit of a harsh punishment for accidentally getting a kid killed

The film My Friend Dahmer, was in Milwaukee last week. Only one theatre would show it and the news seemed to demonize the film. It was really a good film. I hate where people note his troubled past and morbid curiosity as a factor in him becoming a killer. Thousands of people have childhoods as bad as his, if not worse, maybe even coupled with morbid curiosity, but the choice to do crazy shit like eating people and torturing people is unrelated. If everyone who was troubled or was into dead animals became a serial killer, we'd be extinct because everyone would have killed eachother.

We have to take into account that sime kids react to things differently and see things differently. It isnt all black and white, its extreamly gray. You have to always look at why he mightve done this or what lead hin down this path. No one wakes up one day and says "im going to eat a person today". There is always a trigger or something in his past to have given him some sort of incentive.

Of course there are people who have had it worse and don't become serial killers. However, it's a link a lot of serial killers share with eachother, which helps to paint the correct picture. Just like there are tons of people suffering from depression also pick up a drug or drinking addiction in the process, which doesn't mean that all of them do. It's not to justify any of Dahmer's or anyone else's crime, but it IS part of evaluating each case. Were their early signs? Could things have been prevented? You're looking at it from the wrong perspective.

I like to think I'm pretty good at handling recounts of murderers and even serial killer's crimes, but hearing about Jeffrey Dahmer always puts a lump in my throats and makes me queasy. Especially the recount of Konerak Sinthasomphone; he was so close to escaping. So close. If those police officers hadn't have been so naive, perhaps they could have stopped Dahmer's rein then. Perhaps that little boy would have survived.

Thank you Rob for posting this video. I grew more horrified the longer the list of victims went. To know that people like this exist disgusts me, and for youtube in case they read this... I did not find entertainment through listening to what this killer did. The entertainment was knowing that people like Rob are willing to show the world and the people in it for what they are truly capable of. This is one of the many reasons why you should let creators like Rob share creepy content.

i gotta agree with the other guy. humans do some fucked up shit. if he isnt human, a massive amount of other people cant be considered human. that is what is so scary about humans. people like jeffrey dahmer look normal, act relatively civil (if not a little odd) in public but act like depraved monsters behind closed doors. there are tons of pedophiles, sociopaths, people who want to murder and rape everywhere but you cant see that, because they will not show that side of themselves to the public. so they are just paul from work or your neighbour. i mean i believe most people are probably sane and have an intact moral compass, but the fact that humans can even commit these atrocities only shows how much potential for evil one person can have. some people are born with the feeling they have the duty to do good, that is also a part of human nature. anything a human can do, is inherently a "human" , be it an evil thing, or a good thing to do. we arent inherently good or evil by being "human". man sorry for the wall of text. this is a really interesting philosophical topic to think about. i really hope this doesnt come across as me defending this piece of shit. i just find it fascinating and scary to what lengths some people can go to to torture others

Mars no no no. It's not defending. Just giving the other 180 of the topic. I understand what you mean though and I agree to a point. But you can't not tell me that most people know right from wrong. Like killing another person more or less for sport is wrong no matter how it's looked at. Having sex with underage kids is messed up, no matter the reason. Cannibalism, even in primitive tribes, is a huge crime against humanity. And even the primitive tribes do it under very certain situations. Humans do fucked up shit sometimes. But what separates the "sane ones" from the "insane ones" is knowing there is right and wrong. For those like Dahmer, Gacy, that kid who had the word Killer written on his shirt when he went to court, they all more or less had no remorse. That's when you cease to be human. If they knew what they did was wrong, then they'd have a little in them (in my mind). What makes us human is knowing right from wrong. When you lose that ability, it's a quick slope downwards.

Mindy Auron Sociopaths know right from wrong, they just don't care because they have no empathy. If they didn't know right from wrong, then pleading insanity in court would work, when for the majority of them it does not. Unfortunately, that's just how some people are born. The environment shapes however whether or not a sociopath will commit crimes of this nature or not. The majority of people with ASPD (Anti-Social Personality Disorder) don't commit offenses anywhere near this caliber, and although they are a over represented in the prison population, most people in prison are neurotypicals. I myself have a personality disorder (though not the one mentioned above; I have narcissism). I feel no empathy, but I recognize when something is wrong. I receive targeted therapy. I also have a personal moral code that I follow, and though some of it is at odds with what most people believe, the majority of it would have me categorized as a stereotypically 'good' person. So no, I don't think it's responsible to categorize human beings as monsters in accordance to how they think. Actions are what matters; and in my opinion, it's Jeffrey's actions that revoke his humanity, and not his inability to feel remorse or his lack of empathy.

This video is by far the most in depth and informative video about Dahmer I've seen. I've watched 20 today. All his kills are studied one by one in great detail. As gross as it is, from a educated perspective it is awesome. I haven't watched any of your other videos yet, but I'm going right now!
