Troy and Paige Coughlin stopped by at FuelTech USA's Hub Dyno with big news for the 2023 season. Paige will run No Prep Kings powered by Pro Line Racing & ProCharger and controlled by FuelTech FT600.

@@dakotaautosales9673 For sure they gonna outspend everybody else on Hotel Rooms, but other than that they all already have the best money can buy and very good teams, and the top 10 cars cost pretty much the same limited by the rules unless they throw a bunch of gold in it but that wont help at all.

These are some good people, always humble , you would think they would be bulldogging their way in because of their name , but they have never once ever used their name to push their way around , and Paige just wants to show she can and is willing to earn her way up, sure she has unlimited backing , but that doesn't change her attitude about wanting to work for it , and it's great for the health of the series , to attract these big names , because they'll become big supporters of the series

So appreciate a racer humbly saying they will race the future class as long as needed. So refreshing vs some other big name racers who also wanted to be a part of NPK (hottest thing in drag racing right now) but copped an entitlement mentality feeling they should get a golden ticket into the invitational just because of who they are. 👍

I learned a long time ago that if you want to win a small fortune in drag racing, you have to start with a really big fortune! 5000hp pro mods is just too hard to relate to for me, so I sort of miss the days of back-half cars.

Being from Columbus Ohio the Jegs name was Hugh for me growing up. I think it’s great to see them getting involved in NPK. It will definitely add one more woman driver that the guys need to worry about 😅. Good luck to you all and hope to see you at the finals in Texas if they continue to be there

Certainly great advertisement... I know I haven't watched an nhra event other than some highlights in years. I think we'll see more big companies get into it... not good for the little guys, but it's already top heavy now.

@@JoelFJB - Sorry but no one can “buy their way in” into NPK. I don’t care how much money they have or even how successful they might be in the futures class. NPK is a TV show about racing and you can’t ever forget that. That said Paige may find it hard to get into the invitational as she is so nice. Discovery clearly likes brash personalities who push the envelope and hence drive up their ratings. Think Justin Swanstrom.

Not a fan of this move. Wont be long till other big race teams with multi-million dollar budgets enter into NPK and push the little guys out. These teams pushed the rules for NHRA that made it boring, and they will do the same with NPK.

It's not likely to happen, cause The NHRA passed on running NPK, that is how the NO Prep Kings got started. Don't get it twisted, Pro Mods don't work on the street cause they are too damn fast. And the Top Fuel categories is a non starter for NO Prep racing!

@@Rob_Moilanen They're going to be a few,but I think you're probably right on the big money teams, at least at first. This is gonna be more of a grass roots thing, and more fun. Kinda like the Chaos,and nitro altered stuff. NHRA is losing ground because they're too high dollar. Plus they try to rule their racers with an iron fist. They make it hard for their racers to do other things, always threatening to pull their license. This is more of a Bill Doner approach. Fun.

(hint: who gets the TV time, gets the big bucks in the NHRA) I remember Mr Doner, I was lucky to get a few of his bucks before they got all uptight with their MONEY'D UP Pro Mods, when the IHRA came to town.

Every single sticker on every car there is a business looking for sales. I respect the fact that they're looking to earn their way into it rather than just sponsoring a car that's already in the big show. The Futures class gets no TV time at all, until they earn their way into the big invitational.
