I think they are very scared of loosing members and recruiting new people hence, the lightening up of rules. Beards, and no longer having to report hours. I left years ago, anyone who says to me, come back to the meetings, I say, none of it is familiar to me, every thing has changed. Lets face it , they are just a group of men trying to hold it together. They have very bad press. Thank you to the internet.

Herd needs a soul patch. About thirty years ago a young dude was studying, attending all the meetings in suits, and asked the school overseer if he could join. Instead of saying that was great, or giving him some guidance on how it works, he pointed at the dudes soul patch and said that's gotta go. Never saw him at a meeting since.

I was flat-out unable to walk for 4-6 months and in that time I grew a chin beard. The PO at the time visited and told me I might want to shave before returning to meetings. When I was in Bethel even a mustache was frowned upon. I had one anyway. Always had a problem with the facial hair thing.

The thief or anyone else could not have been Baptized in His Name because they did not know about it. There is not one scripture that says a person receives the Holy Ghost just because they are a believer. Acts 19:1-5 is a good example. If you are convinced you need to get Baptized in water in Jesus name and get Baptized with the Holy Ghost - which is addressed in Acts 2:4 (Pentecost), Acts 8:17, Acts 9:18, Acts 10:44-48, and Acts 19:3-5. Then a screen will show a Church nearest you that will do that. If you do the above you will be making SURE your name is written in the Lamb's Book Of Life. I hear many similar videos that create ill feelings towards JW's. The videos point out what they think is wrong but fail to see the good that JW's do. Me? I have no hate towards the JWs but I am not blind to the mistakes that are being made. How can anybody claim to be in a peaceful relationship with God if they are not at peace with their brother - 2 Cor. 5:18,19.

"Unity" (really, CONFORMITY) has always been Watchtower's priority, not truth. WT makes it clear that JWs being united, even if they are all *wrong as a group,* is the most important thing. So, what does it say about a religion that claims to be "the Truth", when truth actually isn't a factor at all in the Watchtower's doctrinal approach? Unity is, in reality, *cult group think,* where all the members believe something simply because they've been *told* what to believe without the freedom to critically think about anything.

JW's never stopped brothers wearing beards. It was never encouraged. At one time they even pictured Jesus not having a beard.

Well that cuts out George Michael. And the 5oclock. You could always say I'm growing a beard and change your mind every 3 days. Or miss the meetings for a couple of months to have time to grow a beard. I used to grow a figurative beard every public talk and every talk at the assembly. However it was nice to catch up on my sleep. Save the occasional dig in the side from my ex and the death ray glare. Or being woken up from a dream and having a songbook thrust into your hand and made to sing We "thank you" Jehovah. It was like waking up from a nightmare and realising you are actually in a far more scary one. I digress. Oh does that mean sisters can have them too?

Maybe next time the change that JESUS is the ONLY way to get to the Father... And we do NOT need anymore books written by people (GB members) just God's Word to know Him

To the creator of this video, I’ll just preface and say I’ve never commented before to someone who has been opposed to Jehovah’s witnesses because I neither like to argue/debate or feel like I’m talking to the wind, with that said I’d like to ask you with regards to Gods chosen people if it’s not them who is it? It’s true we must all have a personal relationship with God but that doesn’t mean we go off and be solo on are own, scriptures even say do not forsake the gathering of ones meeting together. To your point as well there not perfect in all there decisions but even Gods own chosen people in the days of the Kings and Israelites by and large made many and huge mistakes and yet Jehovah used them to fulfill his purpose back in the day regardless. So again I ask if it’s not them who are his chosen people today? Who else continues to fulfill Jesus last command to let others know about the Kingdom, who else uses Gods personal name in there Bible and pray to him with his name....You could say I was on a rant if you like, I knew that having a beard was fine and dandy if God didn’t want us having a beard he wouldn’t have given us facial hair to begin with. My dad stopped going to a Baptist Church in 1984 because the Pastor told the congregation it was a sin for a man to have long hair and a beard. JWs are not the only "guilty" ones. I believe the Pastor justified his statement with 1 Corinthians 11:14.

GOD and FATHER is OVER/ABOVE ALL and that "All" includes the SON so they are NOT EQUAL THE BIBLE teaches that Jesus was MADE As Lord and Christ and as Son (ACTS 2:36, Prov 8, HEB 1:5), CREATED/PRODUCED/INSTALLED (Prov 8) , COME INTO BEING/MADE (Mat 21:42 - egeneto) and GIVEN LIFE by the Father - John 5:26 and it uses TODAY (Heb 1:5), and uses future tenses and is a prophecy in Isa 9:6 (Isa 9:6, - WILL BE) . If you are called MADE AND CREATED AND GIVEN LIFE, and NEVER CALLED in the BIBLE as Creator or Maker , then you are A CREATION. ALL FROM THE BIBLE From the Lord was this (this is referring to the chief cornerstone who is Jesus) , the word WAS is egeneto (made or came into being) - Matthew 21:42 and the exact Greek word used in John 1:3 - MADE, egeneto (came into being) - JESUS WAS MADE/CAME INTO BEING FROM THE FATHER , yes, Jesus was MADE/CREATED!, See also Acts 2:36, Heb 1:5, 1 john 5 Isa 9:6 the word Prince in the Prince of Peace means PATRON ANGEL also Leader. WHO IS the ONE LEADER that we have? Jesus. Now, that same exact Hebrew word was used for Daniel 12:1 which is used for Michael the Archangel. So are you saying there are MANY LEADERS now?

You complain about beards but cannot grasp that you REJECTED, JEHOVAH OUR FATHER AS SALVATION as Rev 7:9-10, John 14:1 show. And those who REJECT THE FATHER , JEHOVAH is part of the ANTICHRIST.

There was NEVER a restriction to beards. JW are much in public view and desire to be a good representative of Jehovah . Thus maintain respectable community standards. We are free to wear an appealing beard. However , we do not have as much freedom as the evangelical community, we still don't allow the sisters to wear beards. 😅😅😅😅😅

Where did you get the idea that it was deemed horrid ? We have several in my congregation who have beards for many years. In some countries due to local customs all was OK with beards and in some other counties it was seen as not so good, so I think it was good that it was addressed so that people do NOT impose their personal preference .
