I honestly feel like she could find a level of success with country music that she never attained with R&B. Let that woman sing the music she's most passionate about.
i will say this im 31 and can say i heard classic country singers and her singing reminds me of some of the great that built county music which only a few can do it so i would jam out if she did country music
She achieved success in RnB. She got gold and platinum songs and albums. Won multiple awards, performed on numerous talk shows and award shows, Got multiple features with mainstream singers and rappers. All her albums went #1. Her second album was crowded best selling female RnB artist for the year 2015. She currently on Tour with Keyshia Cole, Jahiem, and Trey Songz I can go on and on. She had/have much success in RnB
And y'all hard of reading? I didn't call the woman a failure. 🙄 I just think she'd be more successful singing the music she's most passionate about. I'm confident she'd agree with me herself so chill.
Its nice to see they have a beautiful friendship. He showed so much respect and grace. K Michelle poured out her heart and showed so much talent on that stage. Can't wait to hear her entire album
Some are being ignorant in these comments but K.Michelle’s first cassette tape was The Judds. She was asked to be on the tribute album and the family loved her version of Love Can Build A Bridge. Stop being negative towards her and Jelly Roll. This was beautiful and heartfelt.
There will always be ignorance. She’s amazing he’s amazing and this Collab is music in its most pure form, two incredibly talented TRUE musicians delivering an unforgettable performance. #MusicSpeaksToTheSoul
You don't get a standing ovation at the CMA Awards if it isn't amazing, to which K. Michelle inspired the crowd to stand up. I had chills the entire performance. Glorious, I'm sure this is what Naomi Judd sings like with the angels up above.
This performance should have been nationwide news like we see with some other performances... This is a MOMENT in black history + the support from the crowd standing wow wow wow
@Lovelyone1 she said she went to school to learn how to yodel. She grew up listening to country music because that was the music she like, yes country always been in her but she she didn't start out in country, she started out in R&B with that song I can't do this ft R Kelly. She just now leaving R&B to do country because Country is what she always wanted to do.
She can do it. She is definitely the black dolly Parton and I'm sure Dolly is proud of her. I'm sure they have a connection. Dolly didn't have it easy either
Never been a "fan" of k. Michelle (didn't dislike her just her music style wasn't in my interests) i didn't know she was a country fan. Im absolutely blown away by her performance here. Shes a country girl, its obvious. I support her and really love this renditions of one of my favorite songs of all time.
She said this is what she was going to do and she’s doing it! To see the audience stand for her, you can’t not be moved by her voice. I am so proud of K! ❤❤❤
First of all. She looked absolutely breathtaking. So beautiful and talented. I’m not crying either. Nope. Not me. And JellyRoll is my bubba. ❤❤❤❤❤. Beautiful song. Beautiful souls.
One of the things I love about Jelly Roll is how he loves and supports fellow artists… he always wants them to shine….I’m actually not a big fan of country music- I just happen to like a bunch of country artists… but if anyone can make me appreciate country it’s Jelly Roll.
This like when Michelle from destiny's child went bck to gospel...whats in your soul must be let out and shared!!!! Ive been singing all Ks songs old and new with a country twang and its always been there yall wernt listening hard enough!!! Love you K!!!!!
I'm so happy for K Michelle and when the audience stood up, it was positively heartwarming and went with the song. They nailed it. She's a country girl sanging country music!!!
Grit and determination. She's always wanted to do country music, and now, here she is. You really do have to believe in yourself. So proud of her. This duet was beautiful!
K Michelle did her thing with Jelly Roll, she sounded so Country we Love it. Now K Michelle go and record some Great Country Music and put Some of That Good Ole Yoddling in it.
I've liked country music since I was a child. It's not my go to genre, but I can dig it!! I was excited to hear that K. Michelle is transitioning to country music, especially when I found out she had a yodeling scholarship in college!! She sang that beautifully!! She has the perfect voice, range, strength, tone, and passion for country music. Yeah, I teared up watching this!! Jelly Roll was good too.
Literally just seen kmichelle for the first time in person that woman is country thru and thru lol so please keep being you K sing the music that sings to you ! Love that for you !!! ❤❤
She is amazing, she can perform Opera, Country,R&B and Pop and Gospel her range is a game changer in the industry. Monica is doing country too and they will open up doors for other women like Keyshia Cole .
Congrats to her! She finally made it to her life long lane! This is not just a moment for her this was her dream! She’s always wanted to do country! Often times in the industry you can’t do your own thing unless you force it! It worked for her! Congrats again K
I don't people know the history of country music for some reason people forget about Rosetta Tharpe..🤔! K. Michelle voice is probably more suitable for country than R&B
K Michelle and jelly roll that was incredibly amazing tribute to the judds hopefully Naomi looking down and smiling and Wynonna is watching from the audience
This was a beautiful performance. My Fav Kmichelle is a living proof of Dreams Do Come True ❤. The fact they embraced her and got a standing ovation 👏 👏👏 Was Everything. I’ve heard some of the country’s songs she has on this Country EP. I can’t wait for the World To Hear It because she is amazing. ❤❤
K Michelle and Jelly Roll’s performance was genuinely heartfelt. The message of building a bridge to connect us all was spiritual. Thank you. I have been a fan of K Michelle for many years. The Judds’ music, especially this song, was her favorite growing up. While experiencing success in R&B, K Michelle’s desire to sing Country music never wavered. Congratulations K, you finally lived out your childhood dream on stage tonight. As for Jelly Roll, I am just learning about your story and your music. Your story and your music is timely.
