Chris Stampleton winning Entertainer of the Year is well deserved. He has a one of a kind music style of his own & a voice like noneother. He has a mixture of southern rock, soul, bluegrass, and country rolled up into one. When he sings, it's effortless & his voice touches my soul. The man is real. I've been hooked from the first time I heard him sing. The song was "Fire Away". He's very humble & always seems to feel he's undeserving of praise or when it comes to receiving & accepting awards. Congratulations! To Chris! You'll always be #1 for me.

Haven't tuned in to country for a hot minute, but with Garth and Dolly hosting the CMA'S, I decided to give it a look-see. I have a lot of friends who don't consider today's country music REAL music, but me? I came away with a bunch of new songs that won't let go of my ears, including Jelly Roll's "Lost Cause", the song by The War And Treaty that EARNED the standing ovation it got; "Small Town Women" (I hope that's the right title), "Wait In The Truck," and Dolly's new one, "World On Fire."
