Well, this is probably too old for you to see my comment but, if you do, please tell your family that I totally hit the subscribe button because of them! I have watched a couple of videos and liked them but felt I was just overloaded on subscribed channels and didn’t want anymore. But I had to cave after seeing the delightful effort of family and pillows!! Cutest thing ever! And I would have eventually anyway because you have great, succinct, clear instructions and I do appreciate it!

I used this pattern for a Thanksgiving table runner, the center was a cooked turkey, and the other pieces were of corn on the cob, place settings and pumpkin pie. All was orange and brown and gold. I love how it came out. I want to make more, it turned out BEAUTIFUL.

Wow!! Cute idea for a runner and use of my collection of jelly rolls. However, I listened to you about the cutting and did my stack n wack method of cutting the pieces, and cut the fabrics C,D,E -- all 8 at 5 1/5 inches as you stated instead of the 15 1/2 as it should have been. So to everyone, lol, please take a screenshot of the cutting requirements so you dont make my mistake. What a great video and such an awesome project. Thank you for taking the your time and doing an excellent job of explaining it all.

I'm following this video step by step and the first side is just perfect. However, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to put the strips on the second half. Do you have a video for the second side just like you did for the first? I"ve tried several times to put the first strip #C on the second side and have had to seam rip it off twice. It just isn't working for me for some reason. Any suggestions would really help me. This is the first time I've ever worked with the strips.
@TheSewingRoomChannel
@TheSewingRoomChannel 3 года назад
Hi Peggy. To make the other half of the table runner repeat the same steps that was done for the first half. I want to help -- tell me exactly what is wrong -- is the strip too long or too short? All the strips are cut longer, and then when all is stitched, the strips are then trimmed. Thanks for watching.

Hi there, how are you and Manny doing? During the holidays, I made a table runner taking your instruction on how to put it together. It came out beautiful, but no binding and no quilting, just turn inside out. That is what I wanted. My question to you is, Is it to late to quilt it already done?They want to put it in the washer. Do you have any advice before it goes in the washer. I really don’t want it ruin. I watch all of your videos and you quilt before putting it together. Wish I would of done that. Any advice would be appreciated. ,
@TheSewingRoomChannel
@TheSewingRoomChannel 4 года назад
Hi Bethzaida. I'm confused - who wants to wash it? Is it dirty? If it is dirty, I recommend spot cleaning - don't put it in the washing machine or the dryer. Yes, you can still do decorative stitching even after it is all done. You can do "stitch in the ditch". Here is a link to a video that shows some decorative stitch patterns that are easy to do on your sewing machine. Go to about 12 minutes into the video for the stitch patterns. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-csQAE4kOZi8.html Thanks for watching, and happy sewing.

Hello I do enjoy your tutorials. I am wondering what the measurement of your Centre square is. You show the 3/8” coming just past the corner from the B fabric and this is 6” from your Centre post it notes. When I do this 6” cuts through the Centre of fabric B. Thanks

I think you need 4 2.5" X 8" strips for the center, the cutting chart says 2. Also if you use heavy interfacing on all the strips before you sew them together, won't they will be difficult to iron as your sewing them?? Just wondering if anyone can answer this.
@nikolaiagustin3272

you need two 8 inch and two 11 1/2 inch in order to border the A fabric. don't use four 8 inch to cover fabric A, you will not cover the entire square

I do have to add that when you are putting your b through e fabrics on, if you have designs that need to be right side up, make note of that when you’re putting it together haha! I had a design with owls on my fabric and some were upside down lol...but luckily I caught it for the rest of the runner so only one strip has an upside down owl pattern haha! Otherwise great weekend project!!!

The 7 1/2 in.² is in the middle why would you make the length of the strips 8 inches?
@TheSewingRoomChannel
@TheSewingRoomChannel 2 года назад
Hi Debbie. After many years of sewing projects involving strips of fabric I have learned to cut the strips slightly longer than necessary. Often when stitching 2 pieces of fabric together the stitches will tighten up the fabric along the seam. When measuring the finished seam is it slightly shorter than when you started sewing it. So by cutting the strip slightly longer it gives me that little extra fabric to keep the fabric/seam in the desired finished length. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing. 😍
