When you watch this movie from beginning to end .. this scene is one of the sweetest confessions in a movie I've ever seen. It wrenches the heart. We all know these two were meant to be together, no matter the obstacles. Thank God for Happy Endings!

@@TheBeliever1204 no he was going on with the wedding but he gave her the house that he had made for her on her 13th birthday that still had some of the wishing dust on top of it .. she took it, sat on her front steps and wished to be 13 again .. next scene she's in her closet with the blindfold on and Maddie opens the door .. they are 13 again and she gets her do-over.

@@TheBeliever1204she took the house that Mattie had made for her years ago and it still had the wishing dust on top of it and .. A breeze came up while she was sitting on the front stoop of her house and it blew the dust around as she was wishing she could go back and be 13 again, to be able to do it all over .. and then in the next scene she was back in the basement closet and you can hear the Madonna music .. she pulls his scarf away from her eyes and realizes she is back .. and her wish had came true.

I know someone that it seems she did that, although, not directly, just years after it and she lives with regrets. Now in that scene, that's not exactly what it happened there, as he said, he now loved and cared about someone else and he moved on, he felt things for her again in those recent weeks, but, that was basically over in his heart, too.

I get some want them together, but, it's not he doesn't love his soon-to-be wife, it's implied that now he loves her, meeting again with Jenna brought back some feelings for her, but, those feelings he used to have for her they're gone now. Also, when people grew apart, it's certainly hard to go back to what it was again, whether it's love or friendship. People's also missing the message of the story thinking he's still deeply in love with Jenna.

"You know, you don't always get the dream house, but you get awfully close." Life imitating art, or art imitating life, but this scene IS something that plays out no telling how many times - someone looks back and wishes or thinks if they had done something different, when (many times) it is too late.

This scene is very touching & precious to me! ♥️I really like the fact that she speaks to Matt & he somehow realizes he truly loves her too! 😊the scene where she sitting on the front porch & then tightly closes her eyes & whoo they both come out of the front door in their married clothing. Tux & Bridal Grown, those 2 truly belong(ed) together! Yay! 😄

I love this movie so frickin much. Jenna and mark are prefect in this. This scene really gets me each time… what they both want with all their heart is right there yet so far and when she runs away crying while mark is in anguish, just really gets you bad.
