Even though Shrek is effectively a kids movie, ever since I saw this scene and every other scene the fairy godmother was in, something about the voice and performance were just so unforgettable and catchy and funny, and now as a 28 year old I’m watching Shrek 2 again for the fourth or fifth time just to see Jennifer’s parts! And when I recently watched Friends for the first time, there was an episode where this one lady had a few really funny lines, and the same thing happened where I thought she just stood out of the crowd and was effortlessly funny.. Then I research it and realise it’s Jennifer both times! That’s how you can tell she’s an amazing actress and personality! What a woman!

On the other she's a surly inn keeper that seems like a villain at the start and then single-handedly fought pirates to protect her ward. This woman played her roles in Shrek 2 and Muppet Treasure Island flawlessly.
