Jennings Mayor Yolanda Austin said the city council approved this plan at a meeting in September and the concrete barriers began going up mid-November.
Who raised these people? Another dumb idea and wasted money. When I 1st moved here years ago it was very peaceful. Now I’ve noticed we have lots of renters moving in and out. 15 people living in a 2 bedroom house, traffic in and all times of the night constant shooting almost every night, cars being broken into and y’all spending money to make the neighborhood look more of an eye sore. Now large commercial vehicles will have to back up into an intersection that may cost someone their life at some point. I bet it was late in the day and someone jokingly said hey let’s just throw concrete blocks on the street and everyone raised their hands in agreement just so they could go home.
