I have a fender blues deluxe originally came with Jensen alnico p12q which are so nice for blues and classic 70's rock, then I buy a Jensen electric lighting 70 to play more modern rock like Alice in chains, stp, soundgarden, works fine this one has more crunch definition when I crank my amp but still has same loose bass feel with my amp which I don't like I need more thight bass for my amp which has flabby bass I think I'm selling the electric lighting and getting a tornado stealth 80 and weight it's important for me either because I'm playing around the city and this one will solve all that.
Hello there, I have a 40W Hughes&Kettner Attax 50 solid state amp with a Vintage Rockdriver speaker 100W, so as a replacement in future would you think the 100W Tornado Stealth would fit? Greetings from Finland...
Kimmo Lingonheimo Thanks for Kappo Kakko! I have the Jensen Stealth Tornado 100. These demos don’t do this speaker justice. Stealth 100 = cleans. 65 = greenback-ish, 80 = 80’s scooped metal sound. They seem to be a standard fit but I’m not sure if H&K does something different. If they don’t, you should be good to go. I’m running my 100 watt Tornado through a 15 watt Fender Princeton and it’s fine.
The Tornado 65 may sound clearer due to its voicing, and may be true to you in this particular situation, (this is subjective though and perceived clarity can vary by person) but that would not be a general rule.
It would be quite helpful if you played the SAME guitar and the same LICK thru all 3 speakers so we could have an accurate comparison, side by side.. Changing guitars and amp settings between speakers does NO GOOD at all, sorry.
