You might have figured this out already, but the usb cable that you didn't plug into comes out to the middle usb plug on your dash, below the heater/ac control. You could connect the stereo usb cable to the existing usb plug/cable and plug your phone into the dash as you did (I assume) previously, or keep plugging your phone into the stereo usb and have a useless usb plug in your dash. I think all the stereos only have one camera input, but there is an accessory switch that is activated when the turn signal is on to the respective camera.
Good video, i felt like I was watching myself. Not afraid to dive in but cautious . I have a 2015 Thor Hurricane 34J. With my Axxera radio I can turn on my Backup Camera and check up on my toad while down the road. Can you do that with this setup?
Hey Jim, not out of the box no. There is some extra wiring needed for that which I still need to research a bit more. It's possible, but not by default.
Great video!! So I just ordered one of these last night. I’m going to be installing the adapter to retain steering wheel controls. Is there a 3.5mm jack on the back of the unit or with one of the adapters ? Any other things I should look out for when installing this head unit ?
Did you download the android auto app to be able to use GPS. I can not seem to get this to work at all! I sent back my Jensen 1000 and got a new one sent to me and I'm still having the same problem. It does not recognize my usb connection.
I use Apple Car Play, but I think my response is the same either way. There is a specific USB port on the back of the unit for Android Auto/Apple Car Play. The USB port in the front of the unit is not for this. Are you using the right port?
