Jeon Somin to leave Running Man?
Jeon Somin's agency released an official statement, confirming Jeon Somin to depart SBS's Running Man after 6 years.
On October 23, King Kong By Starship
stated, "Jeon Somin will be filming her last episode on October 30, before leaving Running Man. Considering that it was not a short relationship with the program, Jeon Somin thought hard about it and after a long discussion with the members of Running Man, the production team, and the agency she ultimately decided that she needed some time to recharge in order to show a better side of herself."
They added, "We thank all those who cried and laughed with Jeon Somin on Running Man since April 2017 for six years, and we ask for your warm affection and support for Jeon Somin moving forward."
Jeon So Min will be filming her last 'Running Man' episode on October 30.

I recently caught up, and her randomly shining through table tennis was so good. But the one moment I can always recall is when she and Se Chan re-enacted the Ghost pottery scene as part of a laughing challenge.

I fell in love with this women and im so sad that shes leaving. What am i gonna do every sunday? Its been my routine since 2017. Even my parents knew that they weren't gonna see me for an hour and a half on sundays. And when i was with them and watching running man, i couldn't stop laughing so my parents would ask me every minute why i was laughing so hard. It literally was because of somina. Im seriously devastated... i really hope shes gonna accomplish everything that she wants and that shes going to be happy. Ill miss her

If you want to watch then watch , if you don't want to watch then don't watch. as simple as that. I've watched running man since episode 1 and I don't have any problem with her leaving the show. There are so many talented comedian in south korea who can replace her. Running Man is not Somin personal youtube channel , so don't worry running man will still be great with or without her.

this is actually insane. I was shocked when I saw the news. I stopped watching running man long before Sechan and Somin even came.. but I know Somin was very active and had a lot of screen time. This makes me wonder if the cast and staff think of stopping the show soon. I know the other Running Man members haven't left since they're loyal to the show and their friendship

I am not ready for this news. 😭😭😭 I only started watching RM last Sep 2022 and fell in love for Somin... She is my reason why I am Running with them every week... To see her leave same with Kwangsoo is really painful as a fan. 😥

Running man will not be running man without nametag elimination, spy games, overseas race and intense games. Since kwang soo left, the show gets boring since all they do is play indoor games and they rarely do nametag elimination. Suk jin is 57, jae suk is 51, jong kook is 47, haha is 44 and ji hyo is 42. The OG members are getting older and we might not see another intense name tag elimination and spy games in the future. You can't call it running man if you just play indoor games, It's either they add up new members or just wrapped up the show for good. Instead of just waiting for the members to either retire or leave the show to explore other opportunities.

I started my marathon of Running Man since the start of covid19, and I just caught up only to hear about more members leaving? I wish So Min the best, and I'm gonna miss her on variety. So Min and the rest of the Sixth Sense cast was so funny. The thought of not experiencing something like that again makes me sad. I wonder if RM ever got to visit the place with flowers So Min suggested for the post-pandemic travel project?

RM was made a better show because of her and the other lady. The all male RM troupe will not last. They need variety like Seo Min gave them. I have no idea who these so called haters of her are. I'm so sad 😭 but ultimately support her decision if it is right for her 💙 I really just can't believe her last episode will be filmed in a week's time!! With LKS we had time to mentally prepare but her departure just feels so sudden 😢 I really hope they send her off well ❤

Right. The other media had the audacity to make this sound like she's getting kicked out with how they formulate their news titles, as if it's still relevant (not that it would matter when it was somewhat of an issue anyway). Because haters will always be there, not to mention that this applies for all members, even for someone like YJS. Now.. it's a shame that she chose to leave, but it's just about time, and I think she does it at a graceful moment.

@@edoalva48 what if she is taking the hit for running man to survive? We all know these last few months were kind of bad, taking into consideration rm potential and value. If she stepping down so that instead of adding 1 member, maybe the may think of adding 2 or 3, so that 1 don't have to carry the burden she knows just too well, alone. The production team next move will make everything clearer. As for her being kicked out, is the most delusional thing you can possibly say. The media are just bunch of mercenaries and paid souls, who do anything for money. They just need headlines, or maybe a someone is paying them to do so. Even just as a person, not even an entertainer, there is no way they kicking their bestie. She literally travel and hang out even with one of the male pd wife and it's her bff (Instagram) ... Let alone the whole production team that jaesuk himself said are all her friends. She is just easy-going and down to earth, and modest, everyone is comfortable around her. The value she add to the show is irreplaceable, and you will see how her being the core of most rm dynamics will affect the show.

@@myairtel5688 I just don't prefer to be definitive. Because we never know for sure. It's like saying whenever she chooses to leave that must be because she's pressured. That's called tunnel vision, a logical fallacy. For me, I'm saying that it's not substantial anymore, sure she got criticized a lot but if she's truly affected why didn't she leave sooner then? We're talking 6 years. When Gary or LKS left nobody were factoring whether negative comments directed towards them had an impact or not. You shouldn't count by thousand threats but instead the percentage when it happens at relevant times. And right now it's not apparent anymore.

Mostly she did cameos and I think only one as lead role...so Running man popularity really did help her land more roles in dramas and movies...Why do you think kwangsoo got so many roles? I really love kwangsoo but I have to admit that as an actor he is not that promising...But I heard Somin has health problems so I support her decision and will always cheer for her.
