He is just being Jeonghan. He did show his tired face too in some of korean interviews, not only because it's English. He definitely tried to speak when they were touring the US, as far as to ordering Starbucks. I mean he doesn't understand the questions,which is understandable and he's not like Hoshi, Seungkwan or Mingyu who are very talkative even when they don't understand a thing and speak broken english. However, in the battle trip episode, he was the only one that did try to learn the basic language. His battle trip episode with his iconic word Mahal still haunts me to these days 😄😄

the thing is, all those English interviews are far less amusing and less inventive when compared with Korean ones. Even the games are pretty basic and not entertaining. I'd be like that too even if I'm fluent in English lol. (He's iconic for not hiding his disinterest lmao)

I feel like if he doesn't attend the interview, people/fans would wonder why he didn't attend and unnecessary speculate things. I could also see a scenario where people would be like 'pledis, are you not intending to promote jeonghan?, why are you leaving him out? Etc.' Just like how recently, nct taeyong didn't attend mama red carpet, nctizens went semi-crazy with all the scenarios until he said on bubble that he just wasn't feeling well. And I mean it's part of his job after all. I'm sure all of us have that moment when we just don't want to go to work, but we just kinda have to suck it up. It sucks tbh but that's life lol.

I fully believe all the questions are translated to Korean, and they are more than welcome to answer in Korean; however, for the most of time, Jeonghan just sit there and not even answering a question if it wasn’t directed assign to him. It hurts to watch him like these are all torturing him… and for a good intentions, I’m more than happy to see him out of this, if these are really so dissatisfied for him.

@@ijKrysT yes, that's why majority of idols (or any famous people tbh) would try to fake smile in front of camera. I'm sure other svt members may feel the same as joenghan, not interested in the interview at all bc of the language barrier, but they just gotta do it. It sucks, I understand, but again, he can't simply chill at the hotel while his members go the interview simply bc he doesn't feel like it. He has to promote with his group mates as a a member of svt--a 13-member group. And I mean these English interviews are also quite important considering the fact that svt was trying to break into the American music scence. Also, there might be other reasons why he looked uninterested, jetlag, feeling homesick, etc. I mean joenghan is pretty sensitive in general, so it could just be he wasn't feeling his best at the interviews.
