Leonore Baulch i dont know ifi should be happy that he refused to be bond... because we got the best holmes ever. every good looking decent actor can do bond.. but there is only one who was the perfect holmes.
Yep! He did a screen test for Bond and said in an interview that he turned down the part out of concern for being type cast. So glad he did! Sherlock Holmes was his greatest role!
