Part Two of a Tribute to Jeremy Brett's acting and singing talents. Audio clips from The Merry Widow and Twiggy. Pictures from JB's many roles in the theatre.
Man, can he sing! Why the heck did they dub him over in My Fair Lady? *rollseyes* Jeremy was so wonderful and such a good actor! He's sorely missed. Thanks for making this! :)
They dubbed him in My Fair Lady!? I knew they did it to Audrey but...was the only person who really sang in that movie the one who couldn't sing but talk-sang? How...very Hollywood.
Oh my god I would have given anything to see him as Dracula...I can just tell he would be perfect. I've always had a thing for tall, dark, handsome, evil, soulless, blood-sucking, hypnotizing guys.
If you have Britbox, all of the Granada Sherlock Holmes series are on there. I have watched them all three times, and The Empty House episode so many times I can't count.
@@melissabarrett9750 Yes he did play Watson before he played Holmes. I don’t know when or the title of the play but I remember Jeremy telling about this in an interview with Edward Hardwicke. It’s on RU-vid so you can listen to it.
I thought he had far more vocal range than simply baritone. He could probably have reached all but the highest tenor notes, which weren't required in his song.
@@melissabarrett9750 I agree Brett should have sung in My Fair Lady. They could have lowered Freddie songs and let him.sing them But Jack Warner was dumb and as he had to dub Audrey Hepburn songs he also dubbed Brett s songs a mistake
