Stephanie Hand he is handsome because he has beautiful facial features without being feminine or perfect, he had intelligence and humanity and self confidence you can see in his face, a great figure that’s noble without being pretentious. And he had a magnificent baritone voice that easily competes with professional opera singers (watch The Merry Widow), and speech which is high class without being snotty and a beautiful, clear accent. And he was one terrific actor. Did I cover everything?

This is hysterically funny and terrible sexy all at the same time! Sometimes it was just a twitch of the lips, or the raising of an eyebrow, but he was incredibly sexy! Thanks to Britbox tv, I recently discovered Jeremy Brett as Sherlock Holmes and have watched the entire series 3 times. I had to stop talking about the show and Jeremy, as my husband was becoming quite jealous! lol

Actually, he was asked to be next Bond after Connery left. Jeremy refused the offer. And I must admit I enjoy him in the Edwardian costumes much more than I would in Bond.

Cumberbatch doesn't quite have the strong nose and wide forehead for the appearance of Holmes that Jeremy Brett did. He also seemed a bit wet.
