When I read their response to Jeremy Clarkson, I thought of how horrific it must be to work for them. Imagine you make a mistake or disappoint them somehow, so you try to apologize. His point was, IF it were Medieval times, a person mocking the Monarch would be punished by being shamed in the streets accordingly, as in the scene out of Games of Thrones. The RF should handle the Coronation issue just like they did the Jubilee. That went well! Extend the invite, and if they come just set boundaries. People have been pointing out that the language in the press release is weird. Like referring to Catherine and Camilla as "the wives" and bringing up titles for Archie and Lili. This may just be a Sussex spin to force "peace talks". It would take a whole new channel to cover all German monarchies and royal families, as Germany we know now, did't exit till late 19. century. There were like 25 kingdoms and duchies united into German Empire. It lasted actually only for some 50 years and than changed into republic in November revolution, right after WWI, due to growing social tensions between the common people and aristocrats.

I can see Charles, father of Harry, wanting in a general sense some form of "reconciliation", without any commitment to when/where. I can also see Charles the King, wanting reconciliation with the Duke and Duchess, for the long term sake of the monarchy, but also recognizing how unrealistic this might be based on the Sussexes own behaviors. It must be a tricky situation to sort out relationship issues within the institution of a family that is also the institution of a monarchy.

I like to go with the advice to never bend the knee, never under any circumstances. Because people like them & our lovely newer generation doesn’t accept it as an apology, they view it as an acknowledgement, a weakness, an in to prod you for more & more. In other words, they react like a toddler who cannot be pleased. These brats owe the general public an apology & should be fully prepared to grovel at the feet of both of their families. They are spoiled, both of them, beyond belief.
I truly believe it be a huge mistake for them to apologize for so many reasons! First of all the Royal family has absolutely nothing to apologize for whatsoever! Secondly I think it would make them look weak in the eyes of not only the British people who h&m basically thought dirt in their faces because it's the British people who pays for everything for them . The rest of the world would look at the Royal family as weak because they can't stand up to a man child throwing a temper tantrum and if they can't stand up to a child then how can you trust them to stand up against other leaders trying to cause a crisis in another country!

My goodness! I just spotted Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, the Princess Royal of Thailand. She's standing to the right of King Wilhelm and behind Prince Albert of Monaco. She is the sweetest, most intelligent and down to earth person ever. I adore her!! (Pictured in the coronation photograph. Not surprising as she is very close to the European Royal families.)

I feel so bad for king Charles, this ridiculousness that is going on is going to hit him the hardest. He has waited his whole life to be King not that he ever wanted his mother to die, but now he's the King in his 70s and the beginning of his reign is marked by a son who's acting like a little prick. Charles knows that he's not young and he's not gonna live forever and so his emotional interest is just to have his son back. I am so mad at Harry for being such a piece of garbage and treating his family like this.
Agree. I have to go naked to when Princess Diana said that Prince Charles “will not make a good King” this will prove her point..he can be a good King by cutting off these two grifters or bend the knee, many people will lose respect for KC if he ends the knee.
