Hey everyone,
My name is Yana, and welcome to The Scented!
In today's video I'm sharing my first impressions of the ever so polarizing brand - Fragrance One by Jeremy Fragrance.
These were sent to me by my friend Ilythia from the Simple Chic Life and she had purchased them.

Keep in mind these are only my first impressions and I cannot comment on how the scents develop, how long lasting they are or how they project.
I'll let you know what the price points are, how the prices compare to other luxury fragrances on the market and I will be judging based on how successful these are given their price point.
After trying all of the fragrances I will rank them from favest to hatest.
Also, these are just my opinions... you may disagree and that's perfectly okay, we can still be friends.

Jeremy straight up admitted that the fragrances weren’t expensive to make, he just wanted a high price point to give more of a “niche” vibe. So yeah, for that reason alone it’s a helllll nawwww for me dawg.

I honestly think this is more so for marketing and demographics. If I read women office I think of clean musk scent like the famous Prada one. Generally speaking, women don’t gravitate AS MUCH to clean musky scents. If I read men office I think of fresh clean scents which is very appealing for men.

True. He needs variety. His problem is that he likes specific fragrance...yes, we get it Jeremy, you like D&G Light Blue. He seems to judge fragrances by how long they last which really doesn’t matter. Just carry an atomizer and respray. Many perfume vloggers get repetitive after a while. It really requires digging deep and spending a lot of money to get perfumes few have heard of.

I used to watch Jeremy Fragrance before I realised that he turned into a narcissistic sell-out that only recommends fragrances because he gets paid every time he mentions them. His videos seem rushed as they get churned out multiple times a day without any significant editing (long pauses, messed up lines, and so on) and disingenuous. As of late, his constant harping on about his religion is just pure cringe. I watch fragrance videos to learn about fragrances, not hear about god. Have your belief and stick to it, don’t preach and force it down other people’s throats. The clap and spin that he does is very cringy too. The way he talks about women, “panty dropping fragrances” and that kind of thing is just sexualising women too much. They are human beings, not sex toys!

I love how you were totally honest with the review. Sadly a lot of the reviewers out there rave about this fragrance because they are intimidated by Jeremy's influence in the fragrance youtube community and feel like they have to praise it. Thanks for keeping it real Yana!

He followed a very bad marketing strategy... He thought that by pricing them extremely high he will create a fake illusion of niche quality. This might have been succesful if he had a famous company and well established in the industry.. But he hasn't. If he priced them fairly (60-80$) he would have way more sales and way more money....

The same for me. I unsubscribed couple of months ago. He seems to perform rather a sefl-promoting-show instead of making real fragrance reviews, and the wibe I get form it all is kinda 🤔... lets say: not in a good taste. Plus his comments about women are really disturbing.... ☹️

Besides Kerosene, the only fragrance reviewers creation I would buy, would be Mr.Smelly77's Gravitas Pour and never Jeremy's. I am a 44 year old man and not a 19 year old boy. Also Jeremy seems extremely self absorbed, and I have never liked that in a person.

Agree with your perspective. If you want to get to know another good frag channel, try SmellingGood run by Sebastian. He is very knowledgable and very professional in his reviews. Plus he is exactly a 40-50 age guy. I highly respect his expertise and experience.

I think at this point we’re all watching Jeremy slowly crash and burn. He just dropped Black Tie for $400 and it just smells like Ombre Leather after it’s been set on fire. He has all these bundles on his site where you’re basically getting three to four bottles for the price of one, so why not just sell each bottle at a lower price? Why is the 10ml of Black Tie $60? A 10ml of Ombre Leather doesn’t even cost that much. And of course his video content is so recycled now. He rotates thru 20 fragrances and has about five topics that he talks about. There’s no real knowledge in anything he says, and I feel bad for anyone that’s getting duped into thinking he’s some sort of expert.

This was super harsh! But at least you gave substance to your review. I think its okay to have whatever opinion you have about someone (there's people who don't like me or my videos), but I hate that on Fragnatica people are basically just hating on Jeremy. People should objectively review the fragrances otherwise its not really helpful or fair IMO. Personally I think Jeremy may have a psychological issue and is cringey, but kudos to him for making his own fragrance, I think he was the first RU-vidr to do it and that alone is pretty amazing. I myself don't know that if I did a fragrance if I would go with something super niche or something crowd pleasing. Business wise, it would make sense to make a fragrance likeable, so maybe that's why he did a fruity fragrance? Idk. Anyway, great review as always ❤

I agree with you, it was way too harsh. We all agree the pricepoint is way too high, but I believe arguments, and not snarky comments, make a better point, and talk more about her than about JF (who btw I also dislike) . While you respect her way to put things, I don't, there is enough negativity and I don't need it when trying to stay away from it, the entitlement is high also here...

Whether or not anyone likes or dislikes Jeremy, his fragrances (packaging included) do not equate the price they sell for, and this seems to be a fairly universal opinion. The best video I have seen summarizing Jeremy's fragrances was from the Fragrance Apprentice ("Black Tie Review and the Problem with Fragrance One" is what it's called); he basically said that Jeremy's fragrances are confusing because they come from a practical perspective and are marketed as being basic, no brainer, grab and go, created for specific occasions, and even the packaging reflects this and it's a superb smart marketing strategy, but the price tag reflects something much higher quality and unique and interesting than what we actually get. You can't have both a high quality unique niche fragrance and a basic everyday fragrances with subpar packaging at the same time. His prices are confusing and do not reflect the product. Check out The Fragrance Apprentice's video if you want a great summary. :). He put into words what I think many of us were thinking.

lol if you think I'm harsh, you'll need to smell the opening of those men's fragrances - now that's harsh! jokes aside, I actually didn't say they are bad fragrances. I said they smell nice but they're painfully overpriced and that's pure facts. I also did say that I liked how Date smells, said I respect JF as a reviewer/channel....and I also said he did a great job with his marketing approach. :)

Doesn't surprise me one bit that you aren't a fan. I watch Jeremy more for humour because he is so bizarre, but he has a very sweet juvenile taste when it comes to female fragrance, he raves often about Brittany's Midnight Fantasy, Marc Jacob's Decandence and Jean Paul Gaultier's Scandal... He just seems to picture the scent on a young girl when testing female perfumes & often uses high school romance scenarios to describe the smell :|

Yes it's very expensive. But the scent is very good. I recently bought my very first set on discount. office for men and day for women (for my wife) both is very good. I'm happy with my purchase.

Most houses have perfumers who create for them. For example Fracis Kurkdjian creates for other houses such as Burberry but he also has his own house. I think the perfumer behind the Juicy Couture perfumes was the same perfumer behind his female fragrances.

Ok, Yana, I’m new as of last week. Today, I bought Alien and YSL Libre and Libre Intense. I will be asking for Chanel Mademoiselle, and No.5 L’eau for my birthday. I went into Ulta today and was so excited to see many of the fragrances you like! I am obsessed with both Alien and Libre. I think I like the intense a bit more, but I had to have them both. @@TheScented Yana, you're awesome! Thank you for the reply! I was wondering about the Chanel L'eau and the Premiere. I know you said you love the L'eau...could describe both to me, or better yet link me to a video where you discuss it(I can't recall which one it was...I'm pretty sure you spoke about Premiere). I smelled both yesterday and Premerie smelled lighter to my nose than L'eau. The lady who was helping me said the dry down was different but I was so covered in Alien and Libre, I couldn't get an actual read. I want one of them so would love your thoughts. I also know you love Chanel Noir and that's one of my top 5 winter fragrances. I love Chanel anything, tbh. One last thing, are you still into Coromandel? If so, I am asking for that for Christmas next year. I'd love your thoughts. SORRY FOR ALL the questions.

Thanks for reviewing these. Have watched Jeremy discuss his fragrances on You Tube. Could never get a clear evaluation of whether his male fragrances were worthy of the price point. Some reviewers gave good praise, some lukewarm, some complained about the price. Some reviewers now have their own fragrances and charge almost as much if not more than Jeremy does. Watching you and your facial expressions is always a pleasure. But it is your down to earth frankness, good humor and honest expressions that help me to determine if a fragrance is worthy. So, based on that, I do not think I will be buying any of these as there are better alternatives for the money. Thanks again!

No one really said it like u said it, I think it needs to be heard so mister Jeremy can do better. I have tried samples of all of these scents and felt pretty much the same on everything you said. Night reminded me strongly of Dior Poison Girl, which Jeremy often recommends. It is nice but "Poison Girl" is nicer in my opinion. Office is just another average citrus/woody scent which I already have ten other similar scents. Got myself a bottle of Date since my gf liked that one. Was going to give a thumbs up until you said that everyone that watches Jeremy videos are "bros." I watch some of his videos but agree that he can be a bit over the top and that his fragrances are overpriced. Wouldn't consider myself a "bro."

You said it in a previous video perfectly. Personally, Jeremy gives me strong doche-y vibes. From what I can see from your reactions - so do the fragrances. Obnoxious price point, and slightly sexist vibes on the naming and themes. Day - basic b'tch, Night - nothing much. Date/Office, strong crowd pleasers.
