No one takes so many amazing grabs. And he's clean, so clean. No juggles, always coming from the best angle, incredible jump timing, never in the back of his opponent with the hands. Probably the best ever for consistency and skill, certainly the best I've seen in my 30 odd years of watching.
From a Carlton support. Howe would the best high marking player I have seen and I go back to the late 60's. They are virtually all one grab and very,very rarely is his hand used to steady himself on the opponent.
I really love the mark at 3:55. It's not his highest or best, but damn if that isn't a hard thing to do, running back and leaping over the top of your opponent while turning to take the ball facing the kicker. Very few people could ever do that.
Hahaha same I was thinking the same thing. The fact there is a 10 minute compilation of his speccies shows how often he does it. I’m so happy he plays for the pies
I never saw Peter Knights live but I have seen so many highlights over the years and his marks are very similar to Howe. Both same size but Knights appeared to be an even more spectacular mark if that's even possible.
