Lowry understands what it's like to be an overlooked, underrated guard passed over by almost everyone else in the league. Toronto has built their organization around character guys and as such, Lin will fit in well. He has the opportunity to really provide meaningful minutes to his team in the playoffs.

The refs showed no respect to Lin all game. Kept getting called on weak fouls & barely got any calls in his favour. His defence is what we need when his offense is struggling, but he dropped another 3 today. He's coming along just fine. It's all mental confidence.
@nogamenolife1901

Remember the video compilation of him not getting the calls, some of which could've been n a flagrant on him. I don't want to accuse anyone, but damn sometimes I felt like it's hard to be Asian in the NBA.

@@nogamenolife1901 Well you know back in days when Yao was playing. Jazz players would literally step/stomp on Yao's toes so he can't jump to grab rebounds and would injury to quit the game. Never got anything from the ref or the league. Which is a big reason why he retire so young. So ya, it has been happening for a long long time.

Agreed to that point.. I see Lonzo plays D like Lin on D.. stays between man and the basketball, doesn't over commits on a play fake and has a deceptive jump and wingspan. Obviously Lin doesn't have LonZo's flash on certain big plays but Lin is just as intelligent and opponents need to respect his drives and his shot.

I guarantee the scouting report on J.Lin is to harass him aggressively whenever he has the ball bcuz the ref's will usually side with the defender giving them the benefit of doubt. I don't think there is a player in the NBA that gets hacked, pushed, slapped, scratched, tripped n etc on a regular basis more than J.Lin does, it's disgusting n appalling. Even the commentators where baffled by the ridiculous calls on J.Lin. I just want J.Lin to be treated fairly is that too much to ask for??

I don't think it's a specific Lin thing. It's more to do with home court refereeing against the away team. And teams double on Lin because he has a tendency to dribble into trouble and with a double team they think they can force a turn over.

Forget Lin's offense, but the DEFENSE was more than AWESOME! He got it going when he made a layup and some free throws. Lin at times takes time to get going. I've watched him even before "Linsanity". The DEFENSE is 100 times better than what false analysis on him. Maybe not so good in the beginning, BUT the DEFENSE of Lin is and WILL STIFLE any team. BTW I counted like more than 5 steals or even more for the PROCUREMENT of such. The OFFENSE will come, BUT HIS DEFENSE is HERE & Stop the 3 pters. Only when you're in the zone. As I've said before, don't do the 3s especially when Lin just got in the game. 33 to 36% is the ave & worst for the ones not as good, and IF you're in the slump, forget it. Harvard grad? Go in there and those mid-range is better and quick layups even better. And LOWRY is a better player than Leonard. KLeonard is their ISO crap that is killing the TEAM share the ball concept. Melo, Iverson, Kobe, Le B James. Lin's Mindset is ALWAYS the problem. He needs to find a good guru and a nice recliner. And quit eating JUNK FOOD!

@angelac2757
@angelac2757 5 лет назад
Assist numbers don't tell the whole story. Both Lin and Gasol move the ball very well, that contributes to finding opportunities and getting good shots (i.e. open looks). Plus, assists numbers depend on whether or not they can finish and this bench has struggled offensively, albeit not for this game.

Remember Lin just arrived a couple of weeks and then go to the game straightly. I don’t think they have more than 5 times practice but you see the chemistry is already there. Just need more time then this team will be unstoppable. Kawhi should stay and keep Lin + Gasol. The roster is unprecedentedly deep for raptors to champ.
