@@sw33t1337 1) He was signed with the intention of being a backup point guard/combo guard for the Raptors. 2) Out of all the 2nd stringers, Lin was the top scorer with 8 points. Powell had 4 points off the bench. OG and Ibaka both had 2 points each off the bench. McCaw had 0 points off the bench. Everybody else who scored were starters tonight. 3) All of his points were not easy shots. They may not have been the toughest looking shots, but they were plenty difficult. All the players he made his shots against were significantly taller than him. The defense of the Blazers were also collapsing on him a lot easier because nobody else could score off the bench. 4) He had 1 assist off the bench. 5) His 1-on-1 and team defense against Lillard, McCullom, and Seth Curry was good enough to be somewhat bothersome to them. If you watch closely, you will see how often the Blazers big men had to set top screens to pick Lin off. 6) Lin isn't done getting better yet. Just like how it took Gasol a while to show signs of life, Lin still has a bit of adjusting left to do. The offensive sets are still a bit clunky, but it is getting better with each passing day. It might take Lin a bit longer to get into the full swing of things because he's responsible for more than Gasol is on the floor. Lin is the floor commander when Lowry isn't on the floor. 7) He's showing more and more offensive initiative incrementally. When he is comfortable, he can explode off the bench for more than 6 - 8 points. Lin isn't going anywhere before the playoffs are over. If anything, watch him be a bigger contributor during the stretch.
The kid needs to regain his confidence. Jeremy has been badly damaged emotionally with all that has happened the past years. He's afraid of making mistakes.
Flow of game and getting teammates the ball his primary job as PG, with his minutes only takes a couple of 3 pot shots a game. At Charlotte he was SG, spot up shooting primary including 3 pointers, 36-37% success. No surprise.
Proxima Centauri, lol, you may be the one who is not watching enough games here. 3-point shooting is an essential skill for guards nowadays, almost at any level not just NBA.

Good to watch Lin playing well in Raptors. He could have got more assists because he passed some beautiful balls in the game but his teammates didn't get hot hands today. Lin was really smart in the game, such a talented palyer. Hope he could get hot hands next game and get double figures in points.
lins one of those players I dont always think about but am super happy to see do well. He is still underrated and is a great addition to any team, Raps got a real one!
@@myncraft1 There's a reason why there are multiple refs on different sides in a game -- to see things from different angle. The ref whose angle can't see shit shouldn't do anything.
How come Lin play only. 17 minutes. Can they give him more playing time. He should have score more than 8point tonight. Look at lowry got 40 minutes per game .
Something unfair is going on behind the scenes. I have been looking forward to seeing Jeremy, but I haven't seen him in the playoffs. Jeremy has a very strong character to be a minority in an environment that is suppose to not be racist. It just happens because he is the only one out there of an entirely new race to the NBA. I admire him for his courage and patience to go along with the crowd and be lovable despite the prejudice that will happen.

if the raptors start hitting 3s consistently they might be the biggest threat to the warriors. really tough defensive team all around. with kawhi, gasol, and that supporting cast i feel like this team could really go deep in the playoffs.

@@alexeikuznetsov1450 I understand the size limitations FVV has but when has that ever stopped the guy? He can drive, finish and is a decent mid range shooter. Lin has the drive and determination but you can see already he's body is limiting himself slightly in a few areas. FVV and Lin can share minutes on the second unit and hopefully Lin can find his 3pt shooting confidence again. He'd be a hell of a more effective player if he can put double digit points on the board coming off the bench.
I appreciate his effort on defense. He’s actually a decent defender. Isn’t a liability out there. Interesting to see how things go when vanvleet gets back.

Plus it talks about Danny and jlins time together in the d league so it’s cool to see them in action in Toronto. Hopefully we’ll see him get over 8 points nxt game
Speed of Lin. You should make a video of all the ridiculous awful calls tonight in the 4th quarter. I can easily list 5 horrible calls. 1) Siakim no-touch foul under the paint 2) Kyle's last 3-point no-touch foul (again) 3) Gasol's traveling call when it should be a 3-point play 4) Lin's block is not a foul 5) Kyle's kick-ball call after a dive-in steal down the stretch? (ridiculous call) 6) Kyle's drive-in layout (when he got foul by the other centre). Man.. this game was intense mostly due to the refs favouring the Portland. 7 free throws under one-minute mark, only 2 are fine due to Siakim's blocking foul. The rest are just garbage.
The referees in NBA is Fked up, it might be a mistake when they call it foul, but they can cancel the call easily by watching the replay from a different angle instead of calling that foul arbitrarily when the game is so tight.
Obviously he’s old but he’s so great that he find ways to live and play well in the league. Definitely one of the most hard-working players. #linsanity
JLin played so well with Celtic, Blazer, Wizard etc., what happen to him now. It is unbelievable that due to a hipcup, the coach just deserted him. How unfair? Was he really hurt after a few games or what? Still watching these games, he still should be a valuable player for the raptors to win the 3rd game.

That Kawhi Leonard is a beast and he is loaded with full weapon on himself. He can do anything to make point successfully and it looks so easy from him. No wonder the Raptors offered him 5 years for $190 millions and he is still not accepting the offer.
LIN play really well def I am pretty surprised . I know he is not a bad defender but did y expected he play that well. All he need to find his shooting touch but I think he will getting there before playoff
As a long time Raptors fan... he is actually doing pretty well above average expectations to be honest ... he is able to do as much of his part as possible.. and not distract or slow down other components of the team. And as a champion contender thats what we need... we already have kawhi for all the important parts ... this team is a dictatorship you do as much to help the team and stay out of kawhis sight.
